She has a great Podcast too. I like to listen to it before falling asleep. I want to learn Russian language SO MUCH. I've been studying for 6 months now. I can say basic greeting and descriptions, but all I can constantly think about is how much of the language I still don't know and want to learn. I am planning to visit Петер in 2019, so that keeps me motivated! She is right about not learning in a chaotic way. I've been using 7 different teaching resources and I finally had to decide to only stick to Rosetta Stone. Once I complete Rosetta Stone I will learn from other resources.

Tips from me to learn Russian Language at a beginner's level: ▪ Buy a Russian-and-English Dictionary pocket or standard sized. Use it to pronounce the Russian Alphabet and familiarize their accents and sounds. ▪ Pronounce the letters for each Russian word to get a feel of how it will sound when you say it. For example, Я люблю играть теннис (ya el-yoo-beh-el-yoo ee-geh-er-ah-teh-myagiznak teh-yeh-ehn-ehn-ee-es) and say it, which translates "I love playing tennis". Don't spend so much on knowing each common Russian word(s). That will come naturally or second nature to you. ▪ Write as you pronounce the letters for each word. ▪ Take a course at your college to advance towards intermediate, then advance proficiency. These tedious exams are nothing if you taught yourself well. Good luck!!!

Great video girls, thanks! I know Russian teachers recognize that Russian is difficult to learn, but I wonder if they know HOW difficult, as our native languages seem easy to us. I recently watched a vid of four polyglots at a roundtable and they all speak 5+ languages fluently and every one of them speak at least one of these..... Mandarin/Korean/Japanese, some speak multiple. They all speak Russian, and 3/4 said Russian was their most challenging language even though East Asian languages are rated as more difficult. The things they named as challenging are cases, word length and verbal aspect. . Russian is beautiful, and it is vast! So much 'fat' can be trimmed from the language, lol! For starters, drop that pesky neuter form. Spanish functions quite nicely with only male and female........and most languages function quite nicely without female/neuter. . Learning Russian in a non-Russian country can be misleading and create confidence in the language, but then hit the streets in a Russian speaking country and we are quickly humbled by how little we know. Its not the same as speaking with teachers, other students and watching YT videos. I live in Kyiv and study Russian daily for two hours for a year, and am constantly (unpleasantly) surprised at how little I can understand when listening to others conversations on the streets. . Enough ranting, back to Russian studies! I only have one lifetime to learn this.....and it might not be enough!

я не согласен с вами , я всегда мечтал о том, что учиться русский но никогда не мог начать, а блогодаря карантину , мне предоставлил время и возможность для того, чтобы изучал. Я начал с нуля и предельно учился самостоятельно без репетитора и онлайн курса. я учился русский по порядку : структура языка, грамматика, словарный запас, читение, письмо и понимание на слух ... тем более смотреть ютуб ролики (ваши) и слушать русский подкасты, мне слишком пригодились. в смысле лексики, я заучил больше чем 11.000 слова ( благодаря моему памяту), но конечно же устанавливать общение и фонетика что-то разного. я знаю, что мой разговорный навык, произношение, артикуляция тем более ударение отстой .. а я уже в курсе того, чтобы повышать уровень коммуникации на продвинуты, мне надо упражнение как можно больше. в целом русский язык очень трудно и сложно. как носитель языка , конечно же вы не можете меня ощущать. по сути по моеми говорить по русский и есть типа того как играть шахматы . в то время как говорю и составляю предложения, мой мозг постоянно актив и калькулирует все сочитания и возможности такие как: какие падежи мне надо использовать , какие окончения, какие приставки... какие сприжения , повелительное наклонение, предлоги, глаголы, прилагатальные, сущесвительние , более этого там должен быть женский род или мужской род , совершенно или несовершенно вид и так далее.. поверьте мне, действительно в то время как я разговорю с кем то на русском , чуствую себя как Гэри Каспаров, известный игрок шахматы. это вполние утомительно но нужно происходить чтобы достигнуть успеха, перебираться барьеру и повышать уровень коммуникации на продвинутый , то есть совершенно свободно говорить . кстати мне уже сорок-один лет, и если человек действительно хочет что-то, и может сохранить его мотивацию постоянно высокий, поверьте мне ничего невозможно. это действительо даже в смысле изучения языков, и я живое доказательство этого. однождый если вам можно съездить в Стамбул, я буду рад с вами встречаться и разговоривать о том, как реализовал мою мечту по деталям.

exactly i don't believe in grammer. When i was at high school, we were forced to memorize gerund-infinitive list since we had to use verbs according to that list. Now i don't even remember that list, everything comes naturally...
