The vast majority of the streets somehow don't have any painted lanes, even really wide streets~ you're on your own. I rarely see a speed limit sign, too, and it seems they ran out of stop signs many years ago. 🤣😝

Tip: When cars in another lane are slowing down or stopped. Best you slow down and be alert even if your lane is clear. Dont speed past. In that situation there is high risk of a slow car changing lanes or a person walking out between cars.

It's actually very simple: drive at a speed that will allow you to stop well within the distance you can see to be clear. You should: - employ anticipation at all times - leave enough space between you and the vehicle in front so that you can pull up safely if it suddenly slows down or stops. The safe rule is never to get closer than the overall stopping distance - allow at least a two-second gap between you and the vehicle in front on high-speed roads and in tunnels where visibility is reduced. The gap should be at least doubled on wet roads and up to ten times greater on icy roads - remember that large vehicles and motorcycles need a greater distance to stop. If driving a large vehicle in a tunnel, you should allow a four-second gap between you and the vehicle in front etc. etc.

In Russia, I don’t know if you need a driver’s license judging by the way these drivers drive. I guess it’s a crapshoot. Most of these people wouldn’t pass a driver’s test so they probably never go and apply for a license. Makes sense to me!
