As a Russian born and raised in the former imperial capital - Saint - Petersburg, I often get a chance to walk the streets filled with remnants of that era and to see them compared to what the Soviets have left us and then there is modern Russia. The legacy of the Empire is strong within the city, the legacy that makes one proud. The city was built on bones, preserved at a cost of great losses during the Great Patriotic War and now stands as the hub of culture. It sounds not at all bad, doesn't it? But here is the catch there is no grand plan or uniting force in Russia, there is no certainty with the current regime and one cannot easily get lost in the ideological bliss because to do so in the current state would be in insult to propaganda. This tangent has a point, I besiege you to believe me. We need that unifying force not only for the Russians but for all those who lived in the former Empire and to those who called it friend - we need a Tzar and a constitution for him to abide by. The Russian man needs a Lord, true one at that, not some usurper. Let there be a constitutional monarchy in Russian so we once more can forge a glorious future, but get it right this time. I want to be proud of my country, not only for the past glories but for what it can achieve today and tomorrow. I wish it to be a friend to those in need and not a boogeyman hiding in the corner. Indeed I feel Russia can offer so much to the world, hell it already did - in both science and culture. We need a Tzar, we need the charter of liberties and we need to once again be a nation to admire.

Hello from Kingdom of Poland I would gladly pledge my allegiance to the tsar from Romanov dynasty, with these conditions 1. No russification 2. Kingdom of Poland will receive Galicia, Greater Poland, Danzig Pomerania, part of Silesia and western Belarus I read recently a book which takes place in a world where January Uprising and World Wars never happened and in XXII century Russian Empire is in its greatest might. Well.... I wish this scenario was real, I wish we can forget about unholy communism and unite in cooperation

Ironic since this was originally a white army song. Communists stole all the Russian marches and songs and changed the lyrics to fit their agenda So Germans hearing this song would mean their allies are coming to back them up, since a lot of Russians who fought against bolshevisks and opposed the red cancer, joined the German army, like the remnants of the Kornilov armies. Lots of Russians who were living in the Baltics joined the Wehrmacht in volunteer divisions too, to fight against communists, including my own family who were white government supporters and exilees in Prussia. The Wehrmacht in the eastern front had various volunteers divisions made up of Estonians, Finns, Swedes, Norwegians, Lithuanians, Latvian, Prussians, Poles, etc. All heroic men Defending Europe from communists German Empire (Prussian) welcomed and gave shelter to Russians who were fleeing for their lives after bolsheviks murdered the royal familys and perpetrated the coup d'etat. Germany was the only Nation that helper Russians defend their homeland against the red usurpers. Both in the civil war and in WW2. And the fucking allies sided with Communists and helped them genocide European populations

@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess This is what a lack of critical thinking looks like. Firstly, the Soviet march “Farewell of Slavianka” is an absolutely legal march, since the author of this march, Agapkin, voluntarily joined the Red Army during the Civil War. Secondly, with such thinking, the Romanov dynasty is not a legitimate power, since they came as a result of the time of troubles in a bitter struggle with other possible candidates for power and killed the four-year-old child Ivan, the son of Marina Mnishek.

Russia is in a very sad state right now under the republican leadership of president Vladimir Putin,because he support's unrestricted emigration from central Asia to Russia and that coupled whit the low birthrate of white Russians is slowly killing the Russian people and their culture.
@AndrewVasirov
@AndrewVasirov 7 жыл бұрын
I didn't see any Mongoloids in Moscow nor in Sankt Petersburg, except for some tourist groups from China and Kyrgyzstan. Central Asia used to be part of Russia (of the Russian Empire), so that region is rightfully a place of people willing to move to the great country that once ruled over them. The negative birthrate is thanks to modernization, people planning the number of children they can have. Another cause would be the lower economy and the legalization of contraceptive methods after the fall of the Union. Blame Gorbachev for that. And blame Yeltsin too. Putin tries to fix this, though. The economy is currently developing and only time will tell how Russian a Russian would be. But I assure you that the Russians won't get rid of their culture. Because they always had it, their past was glorious (and dramatic) and worth telling. They won't forget. They were born as warriors, they always fought and struggled. The West, on the other hand, didn't have countries that were in danger of being conquered, they were more preoccupied to colonize and enslave natives, and gain profit thereafter. The Russians tried that too, but they weren't promoting it. Putin, from my point of view, is a leader capable of pleasing both the monarchists, the oligarchs and the communists. The west views him as a Communist, some in the east might view him as a Tsar, and some as a capitalist big. Quite interesting. He's a smart man. He did good things.

There is just Russia, which has continuously used this march for a century and a half under various governments - the absolute monarchy of the Romanovs, the party oligarchy of the Communist Party, and Putin's autocratic republic.
