I like the map that you have. People seem to be forgetting that Alaska was part of the Russian Empire during the 19th century. Actually not only the State of Alaska, but the entire Pacific Coast of North America up to the Bay Area in California was claimed by the Russian Empire. Fort Ross the Russian colony located in Sonoma county CA, was the southernmost holding of the Russian Empire in North America. I went there last summer and it was wonderful.
