Pirking - The action of fishing a pirk. Popular in particular for cod fishing. It consists of dropping the attached pirk to the sea bed then working the pirk with a lift and drop action. Lighter pirks may be cast up-drift and worked back to the boat to maintain the optimal vertical position for longer. I think someone mispealt pilking instead of pirking lol In real life if you use this method once you find the depth the fish are at you anchor above them or drift through them just Pirking through that depth then releasing the reel lock and let it sink. Only reeling to the surface once a fish is on if this helps anyone.

​@@apocalypt6356No new players? The game is more popular than ever, by far. They wouldn't price stuff like that if it didn't sell, sadly. The economy is definitely harsh but it's still easily the best fishing game ever made.

Excellent and as usual explains so much too save time for me. Thanks. I saved and can buy a triumph but I saw the new Reef reel. I am a little confused because the top reef reel is 7000 silver more than the top triumph but has a smaller spool. If you get a moment to look could you give your thoughts as its alot to spend.

The new map is great, you only need about 5k silver for a decent sea rod to get into it, and that will work fine for 95% of fish you will be hooking at first. Main issue with the new patch is that all of the most important marine tackle is out of stock everywhere. Really hope they restart the server before the weekend to restock the tackle stores.

Indeed, you know what i like a lot to the bait crafting. I just crafted 40 small fillet Saithe from 4 fish. Trow them on the new rig with lure and bites goes up. Very good implemented

@@KpShamino I just unlocked the 'fillet' rig, put a big (not huge) saithe fillet on an 8/0 jighead and threw it in the 55m. First fish was an 80kg halibut! i reckon with 10/0 hook and a huge fillet we can get trophies while it's still active.
