Looks like you're closing the bale arm as soon as the tackle hits the water. This means it will fall short of your intended spot by a lot, unless the spot is very shallow. Let the tackle hit the lake bottom before you close the reel.

Thanks but i don't think it affects anything since i'm using a clip anyways. It can't go further if it hits the clip. Just like in real life feeder fishing. You hit your clip and you can keep your reel closed or open it makes no difference. Or am i missing something here? Not sure if the game mechanics work the same way.

​@@NorlingGaming ah, so if you are using a clip and want to hit the bottom directly underneath where your tackle hits the water (instead of swinging down and landing short a few metres) you can use this technique - when the tackle hits the water, close and immediately reopen the reel. This will remove the line from the 'clip', which you will see on the HUD, and allow the tackle to pull line out as it sinks, allowing it to sink down in a vertical line. Of course, in this video you managed to hit the right spot without this, so either the spot was big enough that accuracy didn't really matter, or the person who posted the spot was also putting the bait short of where they were actually aiming. But in some cases the extra accuracy will matter, especially when you want to put bait into a small hotspot or a narrow trench.

@@NorlingGaming Do you have Tagaras already? I wouldn't skip atraight to vengas, as tagaras are so versatile and useful even after you get a venga! Venga is what you would want to have before starting sea fishing properly though. If you don't have a conventional reel by then. I would recommend HSV - Evia (if you like carp fishing and want something better for trophies than hsv) - Tagara - Venga.
