I've been searching channels and few have been helpful. But this channel made me subscribe. Its slow and easy to follow. I'm hitting a wall at the moment with learning Russian. As I do not feel like I'm making progress. Learning cases just made it even more difficult. I won't ever give up learning.

In this video, this word is used in the following context. Imagine that your friend is looking for a pen. He asks: Where is the pen? (Где ручка?) And you see the pen and answer: Here it is! (Вот она!) So you use this word when you need to point to an object.
