Thank you, Julie.💞 That's the way on how we were taught in kindergarten decades ago on how to write in long hand; that is, do not take off your pen from the paper surface. 😁 You teach well. 👍🇷🇺 I noted that your cursive handwriting is similar to President Vladimir Putin's handwriting when he wrote a message in the Visitor's Register during his recent visit in Mongolia. Beautiful. Very artistic and fluid. 😍🇷🇺👏👏

Even with your explanation, Юля, russian cursive letters are hard. Again, it's remarckable that some cursive russian letters look like some portuguese cursive letters: your cursive н looks like our cursive H, your cursive И looks like our cursive U and many others. I didn't know there's an upper case ъ since it never starts a word our phrase.

If it comes to calligraphy, I prefer Chinese Kanji! A kind of calligraphy or artistic writing to me the cursive Cyrillic seems to be. A true and enormous headache for all dyslectics in Russia! For us foreign learners of the Russian language the headache with cursive is less, but nevertheless a curse, kind of bedeviled! Since we can't completely avoid it, because explanations in dictionaries, captions of pictures and even some articles use *printed cursive* ! 😵‍💫

Up til the mid 1980s, here in Oz🦘we did all the loops in school …Then the lazy writing did away with it…Doctors handwriting is the worst I’ve seen
