Well done Koki. But it seems that he was scared to loose his price money if he shows emotion after the game - thanks ITTF! (don*t blame Zhang Jike)

I hate the BIG-DAD style of ITTF treating the athletes.

Thanks for taking the emotion out of table tennis ITTF crooks.

Koki doesn't even look like he cares that he won.

Paul Drinkhall can be proud of himself tonight, and hold his head high. He gave it his everything. Beating Freitas and Ovcharov is victory in itself.

The way Paul Drinkhall played against Ovtcharov in the semi, I really thought he's going to win the championship match against Koki Niwa especially when PD came back to win the first game, good for KN , he didn't rattle and loss composure the rest of the match. Also, his demeanor after winning the championship is extremely commendable. OMEDETO!!! NIWA SAN.

Paul's backhand is really powerful. With a bit more of accuracy I think it would be deadly. Very well played from Koki Niwa, however.

I think it's not that PD played badly, it's ''Niwa touch''. Crazy feeling of the ball, good movement, brilliant reaction. It's hard for european players to beat him..

I watched the match live and Paul just self destructed after the first set and a half.

Why in 2014 official channel shows video in low resolution. What about HD? HD you heard about this? I'm already expecting 4K videos, you are still in the past.

Pity Paul Drinkhall couldn't beat Koki Niwa after those two major upsets. Koki Niwa played well though.

I am glad the more technical, instead of the heavier, won. Niwa needs to improve his physical shape: Adding some weight, putting on some muscle, etc. He got the best techniques, but his shots are just too girly, not penetrating enough at high level tournaments.

00:34 that backhand countertopspin!! I'm not sure if I've seen something like that before :O Besides, ITTF, please wake up, its 2014, why are there no HD videos!!!

Would you be surprised if I told you that it's 2019 now and ITTF still doesn't care about quality?

From the first game, I realized that Drinkhall is better at looping/playing far from the table, that's why Niwa changed his playstyle completely in the next games by playing close to the table and crushed Drinkhall :D
