Russian PMK-4 Gas Mask Review

Would love to have this mask in the very rare Artic White. I've yet to see any for sale anywhere. Even in Russia.

Sadly we wont for awhile. Not even all of the Russian military has access to PMK-4s, and the Arktika (white PMK) is few and far inbetween

As I've told you already, you need Size 3 :) As much as I could see, that was "Protective hood... something-something". Sealed goggles have a sticker that states "Training". Green one's sticker states "Open upon the special order" - maybe that's some Beta- or Gamma- radiation blocking green plastic?

@@Vladimir-hq1ne The other sealed goggles are basically just a big green sticker, that you stick on the normal outserts. I accidentally opened the real outserts instead of the training one 🤦

This was a great video, gas mask seems interesting. I have a question though, I have a hungarian 70M gas mask and filter at home, and i decided to went to the market with it because of covid, is that weird? Idk just that a cashier looked at me all weird like and kinda made me feel dumb and such.

lmao don’t worry about it too much bro. it’s in the past now. but people generally are just not used to seeing people with concealed identities that’s why it’s a good idea to use a panoramic mask in industry for example

@@csikibence8189 I got it off eBay I saw a guy selling the whole set and I talked to him seeing if I could just get the hood and I use it with my Shalon 4A1 gas mask and it works great

I got a question for you, is it possible to connect a soviet hose on an m40 mask?

I don’t think so. M40’s are NATO thread type and Russian respirators are GOST, it would fit and seem like it creates a seal. But, smell tests would prove otherwise.

You could but itll just screw up threads. Also it wont make a proper seal so if you want to use it for actual use just buy a nato hose like the Israeli one

The MIRA masks are a scam, They are Czech OM-90 and CM-6 resold for more price, It's a full-blown scam, don't buy there

Do you know if the drinking tube connecter is the same as the PMK-3 or the PMK-2 or a different connector all together? Also, personally which mask would you prefer? The PMK-4 or the Drager M2000? (Other than the fact that M2000 is NATO.

The drinking tube connector is not the same. However, the kit includes an adapter that works for nearly all Russian/Soviet water canteens.

What cheap mask do you recommend for people who must wear glasses? I cannot wear contacts.

Most good masks of modern, will have an adapter that clips onto lenses that fits securely into the mask. Some masks you have to order it and may cost you like an additional $150.00 for the adaptor, might have to go to lenses store to have the glasses made for it or modify an old pair you have. I also have the PMK-4 which came with the adaptor, but I will have to modify an old pair of glasses, again this for reading only or close distances. For general operations I won't be needing my glasses. or I can carry a magnification lens just in case I need to read something.
