That guy with the bruised nose is only a few days of thinking from flipping on Russia for good. His eyes said "My country is a shit hole where you can easily end up in so much financial trouble you have to sign up for the meat grinder just to eat.... And then you realize that you eat better as a prissoner in Ukraine. Why the fuck would I ever go back?"

You’d be surprised how many surrender, particularly if they get chance to get away from the big group. My 🇺🇦cousin is in the AFU. THe rz are awful for sending young or not very bright men on a task. They’ll tell them to go ‘buy bread’ or ‘go buy tea’ or ‘go take a message’ then point them into the direct line of fire on purpose 😤 Sometimes they’re lucky enough to survive and are taken as a pow. Other times…not

I forgot to add the older soldiers even from the Ukrainian speaking parts of Ukraine who lived through the dark days of the USSR can still speak rz, as they called out at the beginning to the rz ‘soldiers’ aka cannon fodder, they’ll speak in it to help them. I could tell you awful stories of how they’ve played ‘hide & seek’ sometimes they’ve found badly injured men, barely alive abandoned. Sometimes left for hours, sometimes days with no water or food. 💩tin doesn’t give a toss about them, he wants to stroke his ego, his soul goal.

@@lilacscentedfushias1852 the statements that you made are not true, they are just playing faults and you know it. The video evidence doesn’t back up your statements. The video evidence does support Ukraine, young men being kidnapped off the street by the Ukraine military. The video evidence does support old men and pregnant women being conscripted by the Ukraine army. The video evidence does support teenage boys, been given weapons uniforms and stuck on the front line. The video evidence does support Ukrainian troops being abandoned by their commanders and the abandoned troops vow revenge if they ever catch these Ukrainian commanders. A little research will prove this.

Conscripts generally want to go home and many professional soldiers want to as well, some of the contract soldiers don't. Ukraine follows the Geneva convention and they do not forcefully repatriate those who feel they will be tortured, killed or persecuted. But of course the choice is to go home or stay in captivity for the duration of the war. Ukraine wants to exchange as many as possible, but there is also a benefit to permantly removing Russian soldiers from the field of battle and spreading the information of how well Russians are treated in captivity and that they are not forced to return.

I only hear things told via a couple of cousins, the Ukrainian POWs are in disgusting condition when they’re traded 😤 Ukraine follows the Geneva convention to the T or should that be to the G? They’re treated nicely, spoken to like they would speak to anyone else, they’re fed, clothed, warm beds & bedding, more than enough food. They will be caught and taken in a mess, injuries, malnourished, dehydrated, wet through often, no proper equipment…it’s like a rehab centre for rz 🤷🏼‍♀️ Rz treats POWs completely different, inhumane is a word I’d say 🇺🇦💙💛🇺🇦💙💛🇺🇦💙💛🇺🇦

No sane Russian would dare undermine the "president" on video. Russia is a nation where 15-year-old boys get imprisoned for terrorism if they hand out fliers questioning the government and the war (true story). You can see the student get worried about his choice of words when trying to convey his disagreement in the war, and decides to just leave it with "Putin's words are as good as law. I don't know how to explain it..." This man wants to return to Russia, would be hard with on-video evidence of you speaking against Putin's actions.

Videos seen of pensioners getting less than $200 per month to live off while prices and interest rates are going up rapidly. It took NATO close to 10 years to build that 400,000 man force up and look what happened to it. What do you think is going to happen to all the conscripts that are yanked off the streets thrown into uniform and into a Vauxhall and told to fight the Russian army.

@@halojump123 Lol, you got that a little confused. Ukrainian numbers are indicating russia has lost over 500,000 men. Those are russian losses. And yes it does explain why russia's current army is so crap. Although it doesn't explain why the original invasion force was so inept. Projecting much? I think this attitude enables war. They should definitely be treated well, I don't disagree there. But this insistence on viewing russians as having no personal agency or responsibility is infantilizing. You are not hearing the stories of people who tried to evade service, or to sabatoge if evasion failed. You are hearing them say they "weren't following" political events that were killing children next door. You are hearing them describe indifference, apathy, and ultimately acceptance of going along with genocide. These are the voices of men who were "just following orders". But we've heard that before haven't we? From the soldiers and guards of Nazi Germany. What humanity learned from that experience is that when the protections of civilization fail, final responsibility rests on the man with the gun. No one thinks that is an easy responsibility. But it's difficulty doesn't mean it isn't a responsibility. The west needs to stop encouraging russians to feel like victims. They already view themselves that way, and so excuse themselves from taking action. We need to reinforce to russians that there is an obligation not to simply wash your hands and ignore the rot of your country until it becomes a juggernaut of evil and death.

From Canada: Hopefully a major theme common to every Russian I have seen interviewed, soldier or not, will not go unnoticed. That is not a single Russian interviewed who empathizes with the unprovoked aggression, massive destruction of non-military infrastructure, slaughter of civilians, or shocking numbers ( Russians and Ukrainians) killed. And don’t forget, if they choose, they could easily cut through the blizzard of propaganda by going to the internet. The fact is they do not care about the lives of other people. They care about not bucking the system and/or making money. Their morality and ethics are despicable.

I saw several coaches of Ukrainian POW returned from Russian captivity and I was genuinely shocked at their appearance! Every single one looked exactly like the images of prisoners from Nazi Concentration Camps! Gaunt, malnourished and hollow cheeked, with many looking literally like starvation victims. The contrast between the Russian POW and the Ukrainian POW was that one set looked like modern period prisoners that were well cared for and well fed and the other were like Nazi Concentration Camp victims! That Russian POW recieved better care in Ukraine than they did in Russian military service is telling...

Obama openly admits 'brokering power transition' in Ukraine In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Barack Obama acknowledged that the United States had "brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine," thus admitting to a high level of democratic impropriety. Before we consider Obama’s revealing remarks, and how the Ukrainian people sold their country for a song, let’s rewind to November 2013, when then-President Viktor Yanukovich had shocked western capitals - and, more importantly, western markets - by suspending plans for an association agreement with the European Union. As if on command, thousands of Ukrainians suddenly poured into the streets of Kiev to protest the decision. Such a rapid reaction should not have come as a surprise. After all, a multitude of US government agencies - most notably, USAID - had been operating in Ukraine since the collapse of the Soviet Union, investing billions on its latest "democratic" pet project.
