It's cause the headdress (also known as a war bonnet) was something worn by tribe leaders and earned through great respect :D When you take something extremely culturally important from a closed practice simply for the aesthetic it can be considered offensive! But genuinely I think the main joke in the video isn't necessarily that it's in the game, just that John is white and dressed in it lol
