India needs a balance of the capabilities of both platforms- offensive BVR stealth of the LM F35a or EU equivalent platform (3 squadrons)+ high capacity multi role capabilites of the Su57 (7 squadrons) approx. AMCA needs to be the one in largest numbers with more flexible/modular capabilites in the team with Tejas higher editions as the heavy duty platform. That will be robust. The upcoming Gripen also becomes a contender.

F22 is of different league but let us compare su57 vs F35 F35 is better but here is the catch we have to depend on USA for repairs replacements etc which causes delay and f35 being out of flight for most of the time as there is no technology transfer offered by USA so SU57 is the better option.
