Det verkar som om ryssarna förtagit sig i riktning Prokovsk. Deras framryckning de senaste dagarna har påtagligt mattats av. Jag tror Putin gjorde ett avgörande misstag när han beslöt att öka själva intensiteten i striderna i Donetsk under våren och sommaren. Tvärtom borde ryssarna gått in för en defensiv linje under ett halvår, alltså minska stridsaktiviteten, för att ge den ryska vapenproduktionen en chans att bygga upp en "fond" av tung utrustning (tanks, APC, artilleri system etc), som under augusti-september kunde användas för ett avgörande genombrott. Och dessutom få tid att träna de nyrekryterade soldaterna ordentligt. Nu är de ryska anfallarna utmattade och lider brist på tung utrustning. Det är betecknande att det räckte med att Ukraina förstärkte med blott två nya brigader i området kring Pokrovsk för att sakta in den ryska offensiven.

Back in 2022, when they captured Chernobyl, they digged trenches in the heavely contaminated "red forest", full of radioactive pollution. The ukrainian specialists on the Chernobyl who was taken captives tried to warn them, telling them they later would be very ill, perhaps even die, but the russians refused to listen. Same thing on the south front. Signs warned people from antrax (a load of dead cows had been buried on the site, all killed by antrax), but the russians ignored the signs and started digging trenches in the area. Many of the russian soldiers fell ill and died. Sometimes I think the russians are complete idiots. Or perhaps not the soldiers, but their commanders. Their ignorance and arrogance is lethal. And the ukrainian just laugh at them.

Russia invaded Ukraine, it all started back in 2014 when putin’s puppet Viktor Yanukovych fled the country because of the Maidan Revolution. He was not wanted by the people of Ukraine. I don’t understand putin’s obsession with Ukraine. Russia has so much undeveloped land to the east, just go build that up and make the lives of your people better. But instead, putin is trying to illegally steal territory that isn’t russia’s. He is destroying the russian federation’s economy… good.
