"Russians hate us firing" - mortar crews of the 59th Brigade in the Donetsk region

"We deployed in a field, fired several mortar rounds, and a package of Grad MLRS rockets hit us." Mortar crews of the 59th Brigade are working in the Donetsk direction, one and a half kilometers from the Russian positions. They destroy enemy military hardware and help Ukrainian infantry repel enemy assaults.
Members of one of the crews joke that they are not tired because they rested while they treated their wounds in the hospital.

despite the situation, they have it pretty well in their little bunker. Candies, cigarettes, kolbasz, salo, drinks and even cake. Nice to see humour and laughter in such times. Stay strong, slava heroyam!

Yeah. What we know and see - most of the Ukrainian units are supplied well with food, clothes, and some types of gear. Sometimes they even have way too much of some specific foodstuffs (like protein bars) - and don't know what to do with all that. But some of them complain that there is not enough ammunition.

@@hromadske_ua I think that's a problem for all of the UAF. the West has been slow with bringing most things to the front, but I think slowly it is getting better, I know Australia is collaborating with France in a deal where were supply the explosive material and they supply the shells, for 120mm. and 150mm I think but I don't know how many . . . Donated foodstuffs mostly come from inside Ukraine. As Ukrainians are trying to support their army as best they can. So if you see a Ukrainian soldier eating a cake, homemade bacon, or sausages - bet it was made specifically to donate to the Army. Fortunately, Ukrainians are donating less something like pickled tomatoes and cucumbers (as they did in 2014-2015) and more stuff like dried meat and protein bars

@@hromadske_ua Yes, protein and carb rich foods is what the guys need, and from w/in Ukraine it is already so difficult to get all the supplies you need, food, medicines, shells. . .yeah! MORE shells! FFS! I have seen videos that show that UAF, soldiers get much better rations than the orcs (some of it even being rotting or moldy) I do cry. esp. when I have been awake too long and have drunk too much wine . . . OH! the regret I feel 🤣🤣🤣, but I do have some funds I would like to donate to Ukraine when the AU,$ rises in value a bit more so as to better support Ukraine, but can you recommend a trustworthy cause please? I did send money to 'Australian red Cross in Ukraine' but s/one told me that those funds do not end where they are meant to. I REALLY like this channel and the journalists, esp. the lady journalists they are so needed on the frontlines to remind the men what they fight for. I think they know, most have family, but your laughter and smiles help to reinforce their resolve. Women are the quiet heroes! 😘 😛 Ahhg. country and our women, what else is there to fight for? You're absolutely right! The wonderful mix the old hardass smoker, he's half deaf, fully concussed. Side by side with guys of all ages. I appreciated all the guys ... eyes and ears, recon, those handling the rounds, and 19 year old Dania proudly talking the finer points of artillery. It's a great mix of people because everybody stands up defending an invasion. Coming out the other side of this, all Ukrainian survivors will become their greatest generation. Strong, clever, resourceful, and patriotic.

One of the very best mortar crew segments of the whole war !! Very well done !! So if you want to be a war hero, take a close look at the grizzled 8- years- of- war veteran. The salt of this campaign quietly working every day, well out of the limelight, hammering the orcs relentlessly. Would love to see them with a drone or two, so they could see the field of operation, the targets and results. Slava Ukraine !!

Thanks to the brave reporter and her camera crew. Now I am an expert at Mortars thanks to the excellent teaching of the young soldier. I love the term 'nightmarize' the enemy. Everyone works so well together and is accepting of different personalities. Young and old, like father and favored son. Me and my dad would have made a great mortar crew I think.

that veteran mortar crew guy was so funny , im suprised they didnt shell kyiv he couldnt hear anything lol , he was the only guy that didnt cover his ears when they fired a round , no point i supposed if your eardrums are burst , hope those guys stay safe from return fire it came very close , i hope hromadskes lady reporter stays safe and gets home aswell (i cant remember her name ) but shes so brave to bring that report to us and its much appreciated , thanks hromadske for showing me the true horror of war but more importantly the true heroes and protectors of your beautiful country slava ukraine , you should be so proud of your soldiers they are unbelievable and they will win this im sure of it
