I live in a 3 story apt, so I avoid using the elevator unless I am carrying heavy stuff, or take my bike out. Also I park away from the crowded entrances to stores and walk instead of driving around looking for a spot. I don't do much walking, but when I do I like to walk fast.

At 68, I'll ebike 2-3 times a week, peddle 90% of the time, @20 miles per trip, plus a little bit of yardwork almost daily. I only work twice a week at my old job @7 hours a day so I have plenty of free time. Mrs.K recently fully retired at 66, and has been working out 2-3 times a week at a club for a few years. We recently joined an upscale club, opening in a couple months, so I'll be with her most of the time plus keep up with my ebiking. At our age, we have to work harder just to keep up our balance, bone mass and mobility. Keep doing what YOU do Russ, you're doing great!

If you had space, which I know you do not, I would recommend the Total Gym machine. I have had one for many years and love it. The one Chuck Norris used to advertise.

Russ, an update for you. My "Carry Bright" turn signals came in, and they were so simple to install. It comes with a charging harness that has 5 plugs for 4 lights and 1 remote, using 1 USB. The front I put on each fork tube, and the rear on the seat post using the double mount it came with! My review would be 10 out of 10! Very pleased!

Per week: 2 rowing sessions (indoors), 2 resistance training sessions at the gym, 1 yoga class. My Ebike is my car and I do take the occasional 20-30 miler. I watch my weight, eat quality food. I’m 75 yrs old and doing OK despite the fact that I have diabetes 2 and all the crap that comes with it. Seems to me the older you get the more time it takes to stay in shape. When I’m at the gym I just appreciate the fact that I’m there and able to work out. I ignore the youngsters around me and they ignore me.

I ride my bike, which is non-electric. Do pushups, curls, leg lifts, and now working on pull-ups. Trying to get back to 10 pull ups. No health club, just my house and the trails.

I try to do physical activities four days a week. Bike rides 2-4 times a week, lift weights a couple of times a week and one day of yard work. The township is building a Rec center three blocks from my house so maybe I will visit it after completion. I'm 62 and my energy level goes up and down, somedays I can run around and do everything other days I'm in bed by 7:00PM 😀 I'm aiming for a spring 2025 retirement so trying not to become a couch potato.

Yes, definitely don't like the handle bars straight across and on many of them they just look like a stick. Turned back feels better and generally looks better in my mind anyway.

I'm 72 and ride regular human powered bicycles, averaging around 100 miles / week. My current rule is to never do bike rides more than three days in a row, to avoid knee problems. I supplement my bike riding with long walks. You might consider supplementing your e-bike rides with occasional regular bike rides, depending on how your knees feel. I need to go to the gym at least a couple of times per week just to work on basic low / upper body strength, but don't do it regularly enough. Riding regular bikes is good for the heart, endurance, etc., and can also keep the weight under control. Just be sure to get the gear spread you need to ride the terrain where you live.

Well, at the end of the second week of September , I have not rode the bike yet. It seems to be raining when I am not working it is cooler now. I work 40 hours a week. I have 7 acres of trees and grass to keep up. I also have 30 chickens to take care of. I tried to grow some of the food we eat. That keeps me busy most of the time. I am 64 years old, and most people think I am 57 or so.

CT (court), PL (place), Way, sometimes TR (trail) street names are often Cul De Sacs. A (CIR), Loop are street names that circle back to the adjoining street. I sometimes pay attention to these names before turning on an unfamiliar street. Put glasses and more wrinkles on Homer Simpson. That's me. I am a little smarter than Homer, doh! Thanks for the ride.

The COVID vs going to Gym delema really hit home. The world seems to have moved on from COVID but the waste water testing for COVID paints a very different story in my location. Classic risk reward senerio.

A few of those overcast days did me in this year. Either I was caught in the rain or I didn't go out and it never rained. Thanks for the video!

The most I ever weighed was 185 and i felt like crap, slow to get up, pain in my lower extremeties when walking. I'd rather avoid eating stuff I like than have to go thru that again.

Greetings Russ. I have a question with regard to ebiking shorts/pants. Do you wear special “padded riding pants” on your rides or normal street clothes and is it necessary? I enjoy your videos and would appreciate your input. i own a Lectric XPremium that i truly love. I have had 2 knee replacements and this is great exercise

I don’t wear specialized clothes for biking. I usually just wear Wrangler brand blue jean shorts and my UV rated long sleeve shirt to help cut down the overexposure to the sun. I also wear a yellow safety vest for visibility. Oh and I wear my Xnito helmet and half finger bike gloves.

I'm thinking of riding my E-bike to our all-staff picnic, it would be a 10-11 mile ride with 8 miles on a five lane road with a 45-50 mph speed limit with no bike lane. The picnic is Friday afternoon so I would hit some traffic it is a busy road. I can get my bike up to 35 mph on the throttle, but it still sounds too risky to me. So what would Russ do??????

Lol if you're not going to pedal your bike, what's the point of being on a pedaling style bicycle? Believe you need a moped "bike". It all makes sense. Try eating just meat and pedaling your bicycle. If you really want a difference, you'll see it. Also, you can for sure get just as much exercise with a speed sensor as you can with a torque! Facts
