I think most female gamers are so used to being forced to be male in game anyway that they just roll with it. If given the choice I know I pick female but when not given the choice I'm not going to complain. It just is what it is. :shrug: I'd say it's more than 5% women playing games like Rust. We like trolling, killing and trying to survive too~ I mean, how many women play Fallout or Elder Scrolls? More than people think. I know a ton of my female (and male) friends really enjoy these kinds of games - it's fun dicking around with friends and just running around naked with just a rock (and then getting picked off by wolves/bears/other players/our own idiocy). Honestly, the fallacy that there's a LOT less women gamers than men has been around for so long that people don't realise the numbers are a lot bigger for women than they think. I've been playing games since the late 80s and I was introduced to them by my grandmother and mother. My sister plays games, my aunt plays games, my nieces play games... There's a lot of us out there. People just like to think that it's so much less than it really is - we've always been here and we always will be. ^.^

7thlittleleopard At least the female avatar bullshit is gone now. I'm pretty much like sips, i play a female almost every time. I never used to. I played mass effect as femshep because people said her voice acting was so much better, and now i never really play males anymore. But the game store, that is weird. I'm surprised gaming isn't that mainstream for both genders yet. On reddit i read that when girls say they play video games to their friends they immediately assume its games like candy crush. It's definitely improved though. I'm seeing a lot more female youtubers(not the gimmicky kind) pop up in videos of my favourite youtubers. I'm sure it'll just take time for the general public to get it, as usual.

I always hear sips going on about a sniper tower, but a sniper towers pretty much screams "hey, we're here" . You're better off building a base inbetween some rocks, in a defilade or something, low profile. That does make it more vulnerable when you get attacked, but if it's a small base it should be doable.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is that the furnace door was closed but they were looted. They could have gotten into the courtyard easily and Lewis undoubtedly left the main door open anyway, and it's obvious they blew the wooden door off because it isn't there; but the furnace door was usually closed. Look at 21:01, the outer most door was closed, Lewis was never in the furnace room during that whole episode, Pyrion probably was, and Sips closed the main keep door (wooden one). The wooden door was destroyed, takes that out of the equation. The outer most door and the furnace door was apparently open according to Lewis, which would be impossible since they were closed before they logged off. Lewis was probably never at the base between him hiding in the crevasse and going to gather resources, because he had nothing on him when he was hiding.

Your committing a logical fallacy there. It's the same fallacy smokers make when they go "well I know X amount of people who are perfectly fine after smoking for years so they must be fine". Your obviously a female who games. Your friends therefore most likely also game. Demographically your friends are more likely to also be female. This game will still have a massive ratio of males to females.

+XDarkFableX I dunno - of the 10 servers I've played in so far I've ran into at least one or two women on each. That makes at least 2-3 women on each - I mean, I may have gotten lucky and just picked the servers that women just so happened to be on, but I tend to pick at random so that chances of that are slim. And they're a mix of server sizes, too, so it's not a case of 'women go to small/large servers' - I think there are more women on Rust than Lewis quoted. There's a lot more female gamers out there than people think. Hell, there's a lot more female developers out there too (know this since I've been in a lot of developing communities). I don't think it's equal stats, but it's definitely not such a huge disparity as 5/95. More like 25/75 or 30/70... perhaps more even. We do tend to be ignored though - we've always been around. Since the start of gaming, even, but our presence was considered null and void (I've had personal experience with being told more than a few times as a kid (started gaming at 8 - around 1989) that I obviously don't game since, you know, I'm female and all :eyeroll: ). My grandmother got me into gaming. My nieces and aunts, female cousins and friends game. I've met random women irl that turned out gamed (through work, mostly, but also at least one at the pub and two at a footy match). There's a lot more out there than people think, we just don't go shouting it from the rooftop because it's seen as a 'bad thing' for women to do so by society, even now. :shrug: It's getting better.

if I were to guess the big bases with huge walls are safer than small ones because for one u need a lot of space for all the essentials and small ones are easier targets if they didnt have so many holes in their base the design was ideal in regards to medieval architecture which is ideal to begin then you upgrade to stone and then concrete etc
