I was playing nice to a cheater just to get some info and he said that he buys rust accounts for ~2$ on some russian site, then he gets a decent cheat (Because we all know how shitty Rust is to detect cheaters) and he actually sits in a discord where people PAY HIM MONEY to 'remove annoying enemies' in Rust, = someone join the disc, ask for a cheater to bully someone on a server, and it costs like 10$

There's a reason why if I ever feel inclined to cheat in a game, I *never* do it online, I do it in single-player when it will not have any impact whatsoever on the experience of other players. And even then, I usually only cheat once I've already beaten the game legit at least once, and the cheating to me becomes a new way to simply enjoy the game....I use a similar philosophy when it comes to modding games as well.

Personally, it make more sense just to make them do no damage or have them redirect the damage to themsleves, instead of banning them all the time, the best steps to getting cheaters not to return to a game is to make their gaming experience a living nightmare. Take a chapter out of Rockstar.

The way this admin handles things, encourages the player to come back, just out of spite. Now, imagine, a group of hackers, come and invade multiple servers on different accounts, Sure, there are other admins present. Sure, they'll get banned shortly. But in that short span of time, they can do enough damage to make other players not enjoy the game.

I have play rust when it has started and at that time it was fun then cheating have start and it was almost impossible to play so I have left the game. but it seems that people have decided to take the matter into their hands so happy to see that and maybe it will give me the willingness to play it again, cheers!

when two or more cheaters are in a group. you should make it so that the damage they do to a innocent player gets redirected to a random teammate other than themselves. until nobody remains alive in the vicinity. and make sure that they get credited for the kill in the teammates death screen
