I was spray painting wood the other day and noticed when I held the can and sprayed something flat on the ground (parallel to the ground like you were spraying these) the paint can kept clogging like yours. I then propped the wood up so I could spray it with the can upright, and that solved the clogging problem. Just a little tip😊. But I was really curious about fabric spray paint so thanks for sharing this vid.!

Super cool guys we just restored him for many years on many projects but we’ve never really used any of this sort of thing…. Last year we got a new patio set with cushions and they’re actually very similar to the color that you painted those…. When they start to fade in about another year or two we definitely know what we’re gonna do thanks for the tips guys😀😀👍👍

Idk if anyone has mentioned but there's a black dot on the rim inside by the actual nozzle. Turn the sprayer nozzle to that spot. It is where the tube is lined up inside the can & where it can get all of the product out smoothly. (Look up what the little black for is for on the spray paint can). It really does make a difference. Also holding the can more up and down helps as well. Prop up the cushions so you can hold it that way. Maybe could help in the future. Thanks for your review though. Have me some ideas! Love that color!

1. You can clean the tip off frequently with a paint thinner soaked rag. 2. Shake spray …shake spray repeat 3. Put the can in hot water from the tap before starting 4. Tip cushion up so you can keep the can upright.

When the can becomes clogged nozzle becomes clogged, turn the key and upside down and then press down on spray nozzle. It should clear out that’s what you’re supposed to do every time after you’re done using the spray can turn it upside down to clear out any sediment remaining paint in the nozzle so when you use it again, it’ll work properly.

I know it’s a little late but my husband said that for that type of paint you should have held the paint in a upright position not down so maybe like prop it up on a chair. And then sprayed.

Great Video... Appreciate you putt8ng all the goid things and challenges in the video. It definitely be this way sometime... I have been spay painting fir literally a month straight doing a job and i can tell you that if you are soraying downward or at an awkward angle the can or spray gun will am up ...its like trying to get soda thru a straw with the cup tilted where all the soda is at the top and the straw is pulling from the bottom. If you had proped the cushions up you eould have got it done quick.

Great review, I love the color! I'm notorious for letting companies know how I feel about a product, especially if it's less than satisfactory. Maybe you could send them a message telling them how difficult it was to use. They may compensate you for your trouble and they may also consider re-design the nozzle. Overall, you did great and it gave your space new life! Thanks for sharing!! 🙂

I would take the cushions out before spraying and would NOT spray paint ANYTHING on the grass.

Love the color! Generally spray paint cans say to spray STAIGHT OUT but you're pointing down. It's user error - lift up the cushions. There are also attachments you can add that makes it more of a nozzle.

I agree, project placement does effect angle of spray, wrist/finger fatigue and clogging.

I think you have to hold the can upright instead of spraying downwards. I saw this instruction on another video of the same product. So you need to lean the cushions against something so you can keep the can upright.

Looks like there is a black dot on sound the sprayer of the paint. Maybe you could line it up with the nozzle opening and it will work

Maybe try using a table and lay the cushion on it’s side against a heavy pot. Keeping the bottle upright really helps. Love the color!

You really need to shake these vigorously. Like your a paint mixer. Otherwise you end up with larger particles that clog the nozzle. But those nozzles haven't been the best either. I find myself saving the good nozzles from each can and soaking them in acetone for a bit after use.

Always clear the valve after spraying by turning it upside down and spraying it to clear the pain out.

Try and use a butter spray to spray something on pan. It runs out too. It’s the angle of it you gotta keep the kids straight up pretty much.

With this paint you are not suppose to hold it down ways. Have the cushions hanging and don’t turn the can down toward the ground.

I SPRAY PAINT A LOT & I ALWAYS HAVE TROUBLE WITH RUST-OLEUM. IVE EVEN CONRACTED THE COMPANY BECAUSE IVE BOUGHT SO MUCH PAINT & SO MANY STOPPED SPRAYING. THE COMPANY DID NOTHING BUT SEND ME A FEW TIPS FOR SPRAY PAINT CAN. THEIR SPRAY PAINT NOZZLE TIP QUITS WORKING A LOT EVEN WHEN CAN IS FULL. ITS NOT PAINT BUILD UP B/C IVE SOAKED TIPS IN PAINT REMOVER & TIP STILL DOESNT WORK. IT HELPS IF U LET THE CAN OF SPRAY PAINT SET OUT IN THE SUN FOR A WHILE. IT THINS PAINT OUT & PAINT GOES A LOT FUTHER

Spray cans are designed to be sprayed vertically. Thats why you were getting sputter.

1) Turn can upside down to clear nozzle if starts to clog, 2) spray painting is done in short sweeps, overlapping sprays, 3) If defective can/nozzle, return to store with receipt, get refund/replacement, 4) This video was frustrating to watch you spray your grass/ use cardboard under, and the mis-use of the spray can, seriously was reason for the difficulties you were experiencing with finger/wrist fatigue, running out of paint/coverage , and the clogging…trial and error, but two cans should have been enough for that project. I was fortunate to find this same paint/color at my local Ollie’s for $2.99/can!!

I can't stand it....use an old sheet or newspaper as a drop cloth, using nothing is just laziness. Gloves and damp rag. And yes, you need to shake the can like it's your job. . . your welcome
