Been using this product for years and it works so you don’t have to

Before “just spraying everything” you should start by getting the weep holes and internal frame rails. Inside body panels, and grounding straps.

I spray that stuff in my doors, fenders, rocker panels, every frame hole, every body cavity hole, etc. basically if ai ever see a rusty SUV I note where the rust is and make sure I hit that spot every single year with Fluid Film. Zero rust on my Toyota after 10 years in the rust belt. Well worth the minor investment to respray every fall.

The problem that I’ve had with my 3rd gen 4Runners is that the frame tends to rust from the inside out. Salt and sand makes its way inside the frame and rots it 12 months of the year. I’ve welded patches so many times, my first rig had nearly as much patch work as frame. Finally had to put her down with 311,000 miles and still running strong. 😢

@@hiltz0007 I bought a 98 Limited and only have 200,000 miles on it now. I patched a lot of places on the frame because the body is in such good shape. Love my 4Runners!

Did you do any rust removal first? Also, is this stuff a rust converter as well as a covering?
@RusticRevs8 ай бұрын
I removed as much rust as possible with a wire wheel on a grinder. That was last Fall during the first Fluid Film application, however, and I didn’t video that. I didn’t see in any of the documentation about it being a converter, only a coating and rust preventer. Hope this helps!
