A tip for you, typically if you have these BPs ie. garage door refinery you’ll most likely have glass window, you want to use glass windows instead of shop fronts cause if someone happens to go deep and you shut them in they can just trade out loot. Plus glass windows are 1/5th of the price at the same strength that visibility and without the downside of people being able to transfer loot out of them.
@pqs65204 жыл бұрын
If they’re deep enough to have the loot they most likely have access to exit. Less visibility to door campers also but good tip.
@MyGamingExperience4 жыл бұрын
I agree with this completely, but honestly i could argue the opposite and be equally satisfied, its all about what you want in your base, there would be nothing wrong with changing the shop fronts to windows

@pumpmaneuvers98964 жыл бұрын
Your presentation keeps getting better, it’s been fun to watch you grow and improve. There is a raised foundation in the door pathway out front of the bunker, this is vulnerable to soft side. The raised foundation inside the bunker wouldn’t need to be protected from soft side, it’s already inside the bunker. You can eliminate the soft side vulnerability and create extra space for deployables easily. All you must do is change the raised foundations into low wall half wall orientation (low bottom/ half top) denying the stability provided from the wall. This increases the storage capacity for an extra 6 furnaces (or whatever fits inside 2 separate single triangles) eliminates soft side vulnerability, and reduces cost. Great video
@MyGamingExperience4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for all the feedback, i was wondering about the low wall half wall thing, wouldn't that leave a visible gap into the bunker and the wooden half wall?
@pumpmaneuvers98964 жыл бұрын
My Gaming Experience no, imagine 4 triangles, 3 in a row with the 4th triangle back to back with the middle triangle in the row of three, the standard bunker layout. Now instead of the two on each side in the row of three being raised foundations, all foundations are the same height, the outer walls are full walls and the inner walls which meet the middle triangle are the low wall bottom / half wall top orientation. Where the two triangles face back to back is where the standard floating half wall entrance to the bunker is. When then bunker is sealed you see only the three half walls from above with no exposed raised foundations anywhere to pick out. The space inside of the two extra triangles can now be used for whatever. The low wall doesn’t have to be there for the bunker to work
@pumpmaneuvers98964 жыл бұрын
My Gaming Experience and also the wooden half wall (which provides the stability for the two hard material triangles) and the inner hard triangle can often be home to a roof which follows the same stability principles, allowing you to add another layer of “bunker” somewhere on the second floor. Useful tool for sealing another loot room second floor with the same single wooden half wall This becomes much easier to apply when the foundations which house the bunker mechanics are lowered and the rest of the base is a half step higher, allowing you to place roofs on the inner hard triangle from directly beneath it
@ausedfork89604 жыл бұрын
U will probably never read this but I recommend maybe adding a clip of getting a friend to raid these base designs his own way and him not knowing the best way to raid it for an example. Also, surround the 2and floor with chain link wall thingys and add turrets in them. I think they can shoot through them and it adds more strength.

Ah the only 2 walls to tc mistake. If i raided this, i would use explosive ammo with silencer to take down honeycomb, then go directly to the core tc with C4.Double honeycomb is much better idea. 406 explosive ammo (2 min of pew pew -- depends on gun) and then 8 C4 (40 seconds).While it is expensive for solo to get in, a clan can afford the quick raid cost.3 min raid with very organized clan. At least your suggestion with upgrading floor is good, as i generaly destroy foundation with explosive ammo (stone one), that gets rid of tc. If they put it to high i can then just sneak under the walls and get to the loot. You may want to add shotgun traps or flamethrowers into honeycomb as it will realy slow down any clan raid.

I think a helicopter landing pad is great but maybe have a storage spot for it so no nakeds with ladders can steal them so easily. Also I feel you can fit more boxes in main loot-room.

one thing I love about your builds is that you dont spend a bunch of effort and resources making every path equal, you spend a little more here and there to make certain paths more expensive whenever it makes sense. I find a lot of builds could easily push a realistic raid up a few rockets cheaply but chose not to for symmetry/having the lowest build cost humanly possible
@MyGamingExperience4 жыл бұрын
I appreciate all of that, sometimes in a real server build, the efficiency doesn't really matter, like in a wipe im upgrading all my foundations to sheet even if i don't have too, because, simply, it makes me feel good. Things like that i was more interested in for this design. If that makes sense?

Most people choose the 24 rocket to core raid route, i suggest making core hqm, 1st honeycomb hqm and second layer sheet metal, you just doubled the raid cost, 40 rockets
@MyGamingExperience3 жыл бұрын
that is true, adding more around the core usually gets very expensive after 3 walls

honestly ur vids are usually better bro. The base isn't even closed off until 2:00 and you've already spent like 1000 metal frags and a ton of stone. There has to be a better way to starter this base. I really don't like this 1x2 full of boxes design u use. Not enough doors. Sorry for the hate, I comment on almost all your vids and love 99% of them but this one is a miss for me. It seems like you're trying really hard to incorporate a shooting floor and bubbler and heli pad but the starter is a mess. It's inefficient and easy to go deep on until way too late. This base is hella expensive for the raid cost, especially when the bunker isn't sealed. For the same cost of this base you could have a better design that can withstand twice as many rockets at least. Definitely not my favorite 2x2 layout either. Lots of space but no doors separating anything. Also you can easily fall into the heli tower through the 4 doors on each corner. Test it yourself. Using this exact design with the doors opening the same way people got in over and over again. I had to put up shotgun traps. This base also lacks viewing against door campers until too late and is super easy to go deep on. Let's see some innovation man! I want a suicide bunker with 3 bags inside. I want a super cheap heli pad design that works without garage doors so I can keep my heli safe in the early game. I want a heli tower design that isn't the same 2x2 design everyone already uses. Be different -- that's what makes your videos great. This video is you conforming. I'll be back for the next one!

First things, please don't ever feel bad about critiquing my content. If you literally hate my base tell me you hate it. The only way to have a constructive conversation is by stating the truth, this is how i learned many things. I know your name, and you have helped me with many things in the past, I thank you for that! If i'm being honest i have been having trouble finding an efficient way to get this bunker entrance closed and safe without having multiple front doors and things like that. I may have to find something way better, maybe roofs, or just scratch it. Overall this base may be a bit weak for its size, The roof i agree can be a bit better, im still working on designing something new up there. I think a vault like you said with 3 would be pretty cool as well! Thank you once again for the help!
@SALT_KING4 жыл бұрын
@@MyGamingExperience I appreciate the kind words. My advice is to check out Wiljum on KZbin. I think the simple roof bunker he uses is the best in terms of variation it allows. While the bunker you are using did fix the old bunker issues, the new footprint of it is annoyingly bigger. I really like his "Kingsman" base and the base he posted on December 9th. I played a ton over winter break and these are some of the problems I had -- 1. When trying to start a base using a suicide bunker like in your videos, they are almost impossible to get down without a starter base. On new BP wipes you don't have shelves unlocked, and you need shelves and 4 boxes to make the initial 1x1. It's an awesome way to protect TC but it's also annoying that only 1 bag can fit. 3 would be lovely. Then when trying to find a main base location the good spots are already taken, and we lost a ton of stuff transferring loot to our new main. 2. Having a heli pad early game is so crucial. Especially on BP wipes. Our strategy has been to loot trainyard by dropping someone on top, and then breaking the turret at launch and flying up to the elite crates, and constantly checking if the crates are on top of dome. Even without touching cargo or oil we can get 1-2k scrap an hour just by abusing how OP minicopters. So losing our minicopter is a big deal. But they are hard to protect. So we build up fast and land it on our roof. That works better than putting them on the ground but other groups with minicopters can still steal them. So we need garage door, which we don't always find right away on BP wipes. And even then it's hard to design a base where the mini-copter part of the base is built EARLY. It's usually the last thing that gets built since it usually has to be on top. My solution to this is just making a small 1x2 a few squares away from my base with a garage door and driving it in there. I'd like to see a better solution though. 3. Early game vision is super important and dying to door campers is frustrating. So having an airlock early is essential so they can't go deep. But even an airlock isn't great. You need more doors. 2 airlocks. 3 airlocks. And windows. I used to be a huge fan of reinforced window glass but it requires a BP and it will always only be 2 C4 strong, thus it's not good for honey-comb later on. I like the idea of using more shop front since they're actually pretty strong and can be used as honeycomb decently as you upgrade your base more and more. Even on a trio 1.5x or 2x server I'm building bases that end up being 10k-20k metal upkeep. And having stone windows with reinforced window glass in the middle of my base since I upgraded it from a starter is awkward and makes it weak. I'm not sure if shop fronts are the answer but I'm doing testing. I don't think the HQM window bars fix it either since you can splash through them.

In order to not use a latter hatch to get to the sniper floor, you can just place a half wall on the floor below’s elevator and continue that to the roof too
