My favorite part of this song! I heard somewhere ( don't remember where and when tho)that ODB was offered a contract to record a r'n'b album with his vocals, back in the days. I'm not sure of that but anyway, he had a voice for that. And he never was ashamed to be a rapper who likes to sing . He liked that truly.

Experiencing the Wu is one of the highlights in my life ever. Wu, Nas and 2Pac. I feel so blessed to been able to witness greatness like that in Hip-Hop. I can comfortabely say that they fathered me as a young man growing up without a father. Ive got a family now with 4 kids and whenever I'm feeling doubtfull about my ways as a man and as a father, I just fall back to what these brothers preached and teached. Thank ya'll!

When you hear real music and then you hear the garbage you gotta make a choice so true that's what everyone wants right now that's why we're all like lets go back to the 90's mean while they're are get lyricist today but they get overshadowed by the bullshit turnup club songs
@hellespont50728 жыл бұрын
+Tyra Jeneen Yeah it's unfortunate that it didn't play out the way RZA thought it would. During the 2000's there was so much garbage being promoted by the industry that it drowned anybody who was being even a little bit intelligent and politically conscious with their lyrics. They traded well-crafted verses for catchy hooks, and the result is shitty club music that is quickly forgotten and easily replaced. If you're interested there are a few artists here in the UK that spit real knowledge: Akala, Lowkey, Logic. Search YT for "Akala Fire in the booth 1, 2 & 3". You won't regret it. Peace!

Emerging in 1993, when Dr. Dre's G-funk had overtaken the hip-hop world, the Staten Island, New York-based Wu-Tang Clan proved to be the most revolutionary rap group of the mid-'90s -- and only partially because of their music. Turning the standard concept of a hip-hop crew inside out, the Wu-Tang Clan were assembled as a loose congregation of nine MCs, almost as a support group. Instead of releasing one album after another, the Clan were designed to overtake the record industry in as profitable a fashion as possible -- the idea was to establish the Wu-Tang as a force with their debut album and then spin off into as many side projects as possible. In the process, the members would all become individual stars as well as receive individual royalty checks.

At the 11:45 mark ODB & GZA had a conversation with no words & RZA heard them thinking 😂🙌🏽

Something was going on there. Ghostface keeps looking at Dirty. U God tugs at Dirty and pulls him, Gza starts looking at Dirty and they make a few gestures. Dirty’s last gesture seems to be towards Meth who was talking. Many of the members used to say Meth would bogart often lol.

wu tang represents the sword style of rhyming. being that we are lyrical assassins, we are aware that the tongue is symbolic to the sword like, when in motion it produces wind just like when you hear the word WU-- you hear wind. that's also the sound you hear when the swords are swinging on your neck, thats why we say protect your neck//

" WU-TANG" unique in styles, sounds, lyrics and voice of a generation of the projects heard across the world. They deserve all the credit praised upon them. To this day the music they created are masterpieces compared to the POP-HIP studio mumblers with their processed cheese sound lol
