Roy Underhill was the Master Carpenter at Colonial Williamsburg. I remember watching his show growing up.

I met Roy Underhill when he had a school in Pittsboro NC. He was just as outgoing and fun to talk to as he appears on TV. I've learned so much from watching his show.

We do nature documentaries. We also watch the woodwright shop. My dad was a sailor and a wood worker. Three of my seven brothers were in construction and one of them was into wood carving just like dad. I used to help him in the wood shop as a kid.

Be so cool if they made a modern reel to reel projector with shows on film. I can remember my uncles and grandfather showing films on the wall in our hunting cabin when I was young.

As a child, my parents often took me to Colonial Williamsburg, in VA. I loved spending hours talking with the craftsfolk, and the Woodwright was one of my favorite! I became obsessed with his show when I met him in person and my Dad told me he was on TV, and I somehow had forgotten about that until this video. Thank you for the trip down memory lane, now I'm going to go add those DVDs to my Holiday Wishlist!

I use to watch The Woodwright Shop religiously back in the 80s or 90s on the History Channel!😂 That guy was amazing! The things he built!😮 I wish channels were like that now. I find current programming so boring these days.😊 Nice set up for the cold winter months!

When you have DVD's you own them , you can trade or sell them as you please! If the grid or internet is down, you can still watch them.

I appreciate that you don't seem to "pad" your videos to make them longer unnecessarily because it helps with the alogorithm (and that you're not building ads from sponsors into your vids). It seems to be becoming rare to find videos less than 30 minutes long, and I can only assume that longer videos benefit the channel somehow. Yours seem to be relatively concise.

It doesn't always work, but, inverting a spray paint can when you are done with every project and spraying until there is no more paint coming out, minimizes the possibility of the nozzle being plugged next time you need it. Of course, any can might slowly lose pressure over time and let you down. A piece of masking tape with the date the can was last used can minimize and shorten the search for a "good" one.

I gave you a like on this, but it seems to have veered sharply away from your sign off..."Stay in the woods!" I'll be watching to see if you return the cabin to it's rustic form. And don't forget, you should get a Shaman to perform a purification ceremony to remove any the modern day demons and spirits which may remain in the cabin.
