My Ardennes house from 1870 ismade from rocks and the thirst next room to build is a bathroom in an until now bedroom. When i take of the plaster will have the rocks wall. I think it would be nice to let it be visible at the shower and vanity side. But i do not know if the wall can have that shower water and if it will be cold wall/ cold bridge. I do have such wooden beams above several windows. All from 1870. Such a wall is also behind my kitchen but hidden. When the kitchen will be done, i could make it visible also. All 5 bedroom doors are also from 1870.

The kitchens are gorgeous, however very impractical with half of the wall space dedicated to shelves with decorative cream colored pottery.

I do not have overhead cupboards in my rustic kitchen either. I love my shelves laden with white jugs, brown earthenware and bowls on hand so I can reach up and use them daily. They are extremely practical as one can easily see what you need in sight.
