Very cool idea. I got a couple pallets in the yard, I’ll give it a go. Thanks for the video.

Great work but where did you find the 3 brackets? Thanks

Nice looking! Not easy to drive brad nails into thin hardwood! You sure need to check there are no nails left in those planks. Either for the planer where you will scrap blades. But mostly when using the table saw. This is where it gets beyond damaged blades. My father-in-law once received a piece of nail to its face and it was embedded in his skin. He was able to remove it without much problem, but that is to be considered! So the small detector has ALREADY paid for it! Thanks!

Thanks Joe, yeah that situation with your father-in-law is a good reminder to be aware of what you're cutting and to always wear safety glasses too.

I've made a small plexiglass guard on top of my saw for that. So it prevents projections and it's not in my way as the original and annoying safety guard. I should make a video of it. Even though, I wear safety glasses. Thanks!
