Btw, I love the gray that you used. I’m wanting to use grey, a light vintage gold and black for my decor this year. I have not changed it in years so I’m going to have to make most of it to keep the cost down. I bought some ribbon at Hobby lobby, which was the inspiration for the colors. I use black in my house as an accent color and always have. I’ve used it in my Christmas decor for as long as I can remember as well as an accent color. I typically don’t use any gold or metallics and it’s more Rustic. But there is so much gold and I love the gilding, so I want to add some touches of that and using it in the ribbon and a few Christmas balls that I ordered will help corporate with whatever I make to hang on the tree. I need to get crafting because my time is limited!!! I loved the gray trees that you did. 😁😁😁

I’ve done the crackle with the school glue ! It made huge crackles! I bought the two step pentart crackle system , I couldn’t get it to crackle lol

That’s good to know, Amanda. I love using the school glue. I used Folk Art crackle back in the 90s, but the school glue is cheap.

Trees cannot regrow bark. They can try to heal where bark has been damaged by limiting the damage through compartmentalization but they cannot regrow their bark. Cute ideas. For bark supply I would look for dead/downed trees to harvest bark as removing bark from a healthy tree can lead to disease.

Hello Jeanne. My neighbor over in LA! Thank You so much for all the kind words! I apply the paint before the glue dries, while it is still wet. That’s why I worked in sections on the candlestick. Try it again, use heat to dry it. A blow dryer on hot setting will work. Happy Crafting friend! 🎨
