Andy, I must say, after watching you various build and weathering videos, you have given me the courage to step up my weathering techniques. I bought a few of the items you use...I'm a Vallejo fan, and started to add that enhancement to my kits. I'm a faster builder like yourself, as I use 1:48 scale kits for wargaming. I like to match the level of detailing from my 25/28mm figures to my vehicles. Oh BTW...I finally took the leep of using the "hairspray" technique...awesome effect. Thanks again.

Cool Andy and YOU are welcome for the support...so thank you. What I love about your new technique is that you manages to get all the different stages of rust demonstrated and far better than pigments alone! Nicely done Ol' Chap!

Andy, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your videos. I am a 42 year old who just got back into modeling after a 25 year break. I made models as a kid and just got back into it. I ESPECIALLY love your videos focusing on weathering and details and am now taking my interest to levels previous unknown with pigments, washes, etc. THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING US NOVICES WITH YOU TIMELESS ADVICE AND SKILLS; I HAVE LEARNED A LOT!

I'm just starting to pick up model building 30 years after I stopped as a tweenager. Your channel has been a lot of help for me. When I was a kid, I always marveled at the realism one of my friend's grampa's would put into his train layout, as well as in airplane and military models. I didn't have the money or resources at the time, so my models were pretty rough when finished. I'm planning on focusing on the Korea/Vietnam era- rust was everywhere on military vehicles. My dad was a heavy equipment operator during the Vietnam war- the climate really was harsh on machines and people not aclimated to a jungle environment. Keep up the great work!

Just discovered your channel and must say you do an excellent job at showing off products. I am into Warhammer 40k and Fantasy myself and will be using a lot of the newer products you have shown on your channel. Thank you for taking the time and showing people how to use them and what is new. I haven't done stuff like this in 15 years or so now and am completely impressed by how much the industry has grown and all the new toys we have at our disposal now. I for one am looking forward to many more videos in the future as well.

the combination of the two products works great. this is something that is very important though with these kinds of hobbies. Learning techniques and mixing them together, gives the best results. if you have multiple techniques that are designed to get the best results in less time, it confuses the eye and you can think you're looking at something that took hundreds of hours, that maybe took like 4 or 5. Just using 1 technique, it's easy to spot the technique, which breaks the illusion. But mixing together many techniques, they all work to compliment each other and it becomes way more difficult to actually spot the techniques used. I have probably explained this poorly, but it's something that everyone should learn to do early. It's like scale model techniques making their way into miniature painting, and vice versa. It makes both hobbies better.

Also, I asked this question in a different video, but since you probably haven't seen the question I'll ask again in here what mixture ratio you use for your Tamiya paints and what mixture do you use on the dusting Buff coat you do to blend the camo on the tanks? Thanks again...
