I'm from Ecuador, here this type of music is not popular and I found Ruston because I'm a huge Kacey Musgraves fan. And when I listened to Ruston for the first time I fell in love with his voice and his writting skills, don't know what's the difference between country and dirt emo ( don't even know if that is a new genre hahaha) but I'm here for it. His story is also really inspirational, he has go through a lot of things and is finally getting the recognition he deserves. He may not be a succesfull artis if we talk about sales but with this album he made people to take a look to his music and I'm sure his fanbase will increase.

It was this and My Sweet Carolina by Ryan Addams I had both songs on repeat for quite some time and tonight something brought the Ryan Adams song on which immediately made me need to listen to this one. Just listened to "Mockingbird", and watched the video. Great song, and a very powerful, telling video. Struggling single mom, doing what she has to do to survive. Even if it's at the expense of her dignity. Very, very humbling. P.S.: Crushing on the woman in the video. She's beautiful!

I literally just came across this guy's music three days ago and immediately was hooked; mainly because it's rare nowadays to come across good, quality music like this. Plus RA's in my top 3 favorite songwriters of all time....and Ruston Kelly has definitely been influenced (a ton) by Ryan.
