This project has a real chance to beat Erlang at its own game. Especially with capability to make handlers in different languages.

Is this a competitor to tokio-rs?

Both are runtime environment that allow async programming; but they have very different goals, tokio is focused on performance and use a lightweight runtime, while this seems like a full featured runtime, geared towards task isolation (through a WASM runtime) for security reasons and fault tolerance. (I'm not very familiar with Lunatic, please correct me if I'm wrong).

I think lunatic gives you the power of stackful coroutines, like Go / Erlang, so you can suspend anywhere

@@klasus2344 Yes, although Go’s are cooperative, while Erlang is unique in that it’s scheduler is preemptive (and one scheduler per CPU, but that’s more platform dependent).
