In this video clip, we have presented a miraculous restoration of the antique old axe. In order to understand the process of restoration has included several technical steps while happening in perfect restoration. This rare axe gave by my late grandfather's hand, which they had for the last 100 years old. So we aimed to restore these axe at any cost. The first step was elaborate rust removal through the utility of HCl (hydrochloric acid, 35% v/v purity), subsequently, cleaned with normal water and dried. In the second step, we applied the surface grinding process on the whole surface of the axe to clean the ruggedness. The third step involved the hardening process with the help of extreme heat then a quick cool down to allow the material to transform too much harder, stronger structure, and them tempering. The fourth step involved fine edge sharpness and buffing process to grow the mirror polish on the axe head. The fifth step involved the perfect antique wooden handle making process with the help of a machine saw and file. After that applied wooden varnish to glaze the surface of the handle with a skinny finish coat. Thus complete the unbelievable rusty axe restoration is very shiny and furnished with a chronological learning process, hope you enjoyed this video. Very nice job, but quick question. Why would you soak the ax head if you are going to go ahead and grind the faces anyway? Wouldn't that be an extra step for you? (not trying to be mean, just genuinely curious)
