Peter doyle was one of my favourite artists of the new seekers with lyn paul it upset me when he left the band in July 1973 my other artists of 1973 i love the osmonds were my pinups

Hearing Pete’s voice again reminds me of those Cliff shows in 1971/2 when they appeared as “guests”. Saturday evenings such a treat...they usually played a song and my favourite was Beautiful People fronted by Eve. Then, by chance I visited ny local record shop in Lancaster and found an album, entitled Beautiful people. Needless to say it hardly left the turntable...I still play it occasionally on my new record player...BLISS!

I know this track by Marmalade. And I love their version with the sweeping horns. I have never heard it by Peter, Paul & Mary. I have to say that in 2019 I am loving this version of the track.

Not Mary, Peter, Paul & Marty was an album which only featured the male New Seekers on lead vocals

@@SallyWilliams this should have been on the peter paul and marty album but peter doyle left by then peter oliver took his place and then this was release on a single on polydor records on his own rusty hands of time with the b side so in life title being peter doyle didnt chart blame the uk people for that played alot on radio one alot release in 1975 on a lp called the new seekers you can get it on a double cd called together and farewell album on cherry red or 7ts

Yes Peter was great but I wouldn't dismiss the other members as they produced a combined unique harmonic sound that has never been replicated. Fond memories.

looking depends on personal taste. Marty was a groupie maniac, he had an immense taste in girls during their heyday, Peter was the introverted type. But Peter was definitely by far the best male singer TNS ever had, even Marty thinks that

Over-produced, bad and naff material, second rate song-wriitng and horrid arrangement - i wish this group was given better material because the individual members are great.
