rusty heart mixed media canvas with rust and patina paste

Hello everyone :-)
today i want to show you an easy technique to work with rust and patina pastes on a canvas. I hope you like it.
I used:
Canvas from local craft store
lace - found this on ebay
Amsterdam gel medium
Finnabair black gesso
Mitform Castings
Metal Flowers and leafs from Cre-Artive Corner
Finnabair 3d matt gel
Finnabair rust effect paste
Finnabair patina paste
Finnabair metallique wax bronze aged

I dont typically comment but this was exceptional. Your eye for design and how you purposefully balance and consider placement so that the piece will flow is the best ive seen of whats out there. Often times there is a "more is more" mentality and there is "stuff" just for the sake of "stuff" added to pieces which simply misses the mark IMHO. I wonder if youve had some art training? Or maybe its because you are in you RIGHT MIND!😉

thank you so much, glad you like it. I used a soft brush and for more color here and there i applied the wax with my fingers

Beautiful job. Just gorgeous. I've been making hat boxes just the same, for years. You use way too much paint. We use same lace. But I sometimes dip the lace into the Mod Podge. On the hat boxes I trim around both the lid and the body of the box with the same lace. They come out beautiful. I don't feel like the black layer is necessary at all. You pounced out all your nuances of color.
