Making headway on Rusty Hamner ! Still hate to see yas cut up the parts truck, but so be it. I'd be more inclined to make some beaded panels and weld them in 'Ole Rusty's floor. Those slotted parts down the side have to be at the same height as the old ones or the trim moulding that goes over them and clips in won't sit at the same height. I don't know if they sell POR-15 up there as they do it the States, but it is an awesomner rust stopping paint over. Never rusts again on any rust/metal you paint it onto, guaranteed. Not cheap, $55 a quart ! Get Well Soon Pug !

I’m not a dodge dick, I’m a ford 7.3 guy. So, I don’t know if this would apply to a Cummins or not but I would imagine it would since you had a Cummins in shifty. Gas trucks have a physical throttle cable and actuator that controls the cruise control among other components. You will never be able to take hemi Cruise control components and retrofit them to your cummins. The cruise control on your truck is most likely controlled completely by the computer. The good news is, and I don’t know for sure, but it very well might be As easy As trading steering columns or just the steering wheel, or just the steering wheel and clock spring. Whatever the case may be I would imagine it would just be plug-and-play

TheCatMilton I think the title is the issue, he'd have to use the title for the cab he switches out. And since its for a 1/2 ton gas, and the frame is a 3/4 diesel, the inspection shop would never pass it. Here in the states, I ran into a similar problem trying to swap a motor into a car that was never designed for it. My state says you can only replace a engine with equal or one that was offered as a option.

He can't because of emissions. he would have to use the vin and tittle from the 1500, which wouldn't work because its a gasser. gasser and diesels have different emisssion standards. hence why he didn't do the Cummins swap on big dirty.
