rusty the washing machine : rusty's only wash cycle - that went wrong

so loaded with 2kg or so of towels from an LG i tested - i select program 3 : colorfast cotton 60'c and i try to select rapid, which should be available for this program, but its not, rusty's controls have gone all wrong, so it actually performs the wool wash.

Had this machine in my old house and I have to say it’s much better than a 2017 hotpoint. Quick wash times, good rinses and always good results. Now the shortest cycle I can get is 1:40 and the clothes still come out smelling not as good as they used to.

Proberbly useing a smaller amount of water. Also spin cycles take much longer now so actual washing process may be shorter.

whichwasher2007 the water level is very similar. Both reach just below the seal on wash and 1/3 up the door on a cotton rinse. The spin speeds aren only different by a 100rpm and a similar length. Still before I was able to do a cotton 60c in a about an hour and a synthetics in 40 mins with the speed wash option. Now on “time saver” the wash is 2:15 and sometimes doesn’t go all the way up to 60c settling at a 40 wash

My sister had this same machine but with 1200rpm for years 9 in fact was a good machine. But it went rusty and shakey in the end but nothing like this!! There is an electronic fault, along with the rust deposits on this washer, but the; pump, motor, drum, solenoid valve and heater are still working. I mostly associate the name “rusty” with old rusty vehicles - it was appropriately used in this case 😁. Unfortunately I was offended by the amount of swearing 🤬 in the sub comments of the main commentary’s of this video, and the sexual mockery of the washer wombleing into the side of it neighbour.
