your channel has helped me so much. but just going off of your words i would say that you need to start practicing the top dead center method after you run your engines and start using after run oil after every use. Not using that top dead center method has to be be doing something improper to it. But that's just my huge guess. any ways still a great learning video my friend👊🏾👊🏾

With these higher compression engines I do keep them away from TDC, they’re hand made and have much better quality to them so best to look after them. Other mass produced ones I don’t bother lol.

was talking to a 20 year seasoned ic car enthusiast the other day and he said hes never used after run oil in his whole 20 years of racing r/c cars. He said if you wanna lube the cylnder or the carb give it little 25% nitro just a drop from an inkjet cartridge syringe so it doesnt gel.

Back in the day ,we didnt give a fek about destroying a engine just as long as we had fun an caught it on vid ,we turned & burned them an just bought another!..🤣😂 Now these days you got these almighty gear heads that treats their stuff like fragile glass! I have an older vid about those fun days! Awesome vid ,thats why I like your content!..💯👍👊

After all I am pretty happy that I didnt buy a Nova, eventhough I thought they are nice. I think it speaks for itself when you buy 2 engines and having trouble with both. Sorry mate. Luckily I dont have such problems. p.s. i dont think that the big amount of compression on the b3 is normal. I dont have it either but the power with mine is awesome :)

People who were born after the 90’s can’t even dream up or fathom how real men built and serviced engines and all that jazzz Today kids think revving the heck out of cracked piston rings will fix a tired engine lol

Ise a cable tie to get sleeve out . Allso never take your plug out without having your car on its side. Thats how u ended up with a scored piston
@HaggardRC6 ай бұрын
The piston is scored because the C clip came out. It was a common problem with the early B3.

@HaggardRC I ran this engine when it first came out and it was decent tbf. Got a season out of it and have had two more since I love them . Thing is coz there reasonably cheep for a race engine it doesn't make much sense to repair them as its not far off the price of a new engine
