It must take you forever to get thru all the billions of small pieces you’ve continuously collected there. Do you have a whole staff of folks hidden in the background there to help you out so you can carry on with some kinda daily life? I’d like to see some things you say you sell for thousands of dollars all the time vs these small $15-$20 pieces. Thanks

Rusty I have learned so much from you! I’m just getting started in the business. I plan on focusing on jewelry. I am a dinged up, crippled up, 71-year-old lady. You will find -I promise -that your generosity and kindness to all of us who watch you on your journey through life will reap rich rewards.

Well cousin Rusty I’ve learned something new today. I always thought they were calling those vases swan vases because they had the long necks, swung glass lol. Who knew. Now here one for you, Givenchy…Jee-von-SHEE is how it’s commonly pronounced.

Slag glass shade I can see on a pole lamp stand. Maybe wrought iron….or small base on nightstand or end table near a reading chair

I suggest knocking the bulk of the wax out of things like the planter with a table knife or similar, then pour boiling water to melt out the rest!

Rusty I have my jewelry collection in those trays as well. For storage and protection I’ve placed kitchen drawer liners. Comes in a roll, cut to size from most dollar stores. Keeps everything from sliding all over the place

If you pot hot water in the yellow pot with wax in it and let melt it and then wipe it out it seems to be easier to remove and no worries about scratching it!

Cousin Hubs and I make stained glass. That is indeed Tiffany style. The white residue is wax that maybe has gotten some moisture underneath. With a soft cloth you should be able to buff off. Then grab you some carnauba car wax and buff it out. It will really shine.

DO NOT use those twisty light bulbs. When they burn out they blow up and can start fires. Look up the difference in swung and pulled vases. The Lamp shade is actually a Frank Lloyd Wright style.

Good Morning Rusty, this is Chris re the silver trinket box. Thank you very much for the wonderful information you included in your video. I'm going to source a 'scratch kit' and try it out and see if I have a real 'treasure' or not. I do a bit of dabbling in the buying and selling of second hand things but it is usually if I buy something online and don't want it, I sell it on at a profit. You have inspired me to maybe take my dabbling to the next level. Kind regards, you are an inspiration!

Love the Orrefors piece. Scandinavian, MCM at a guess, highly collectable but u might have to wait for the right buyer. High quality lead crystal & if you can tie the sig to one of their well-known artisans worth more. Please don't price too low! :)

Rusty, you don't need to "carve" out the wax, just soak it in hot water for about ten minutes, and it should come loose. Additional hot water might be needed to remove the residue.
@mspitstoptoyou
@mspitstoptoyou Жыл бұрын
I actually do the opposite: put it in the fridge or freezer so it gets as hard as possible, and it'll pop right out with little to no residue left.
