Wow! $50 is a great deal for Ruths Chris.The first (and last) time we went was over 10 years ago. It was $300+ for a basic meal for two people with no alcohol (we don't drink), and shared sides. This was in Canada. The Keg is the only Canadian steakhouse we go to now.

It was great for RC to honor the offer you seen. Your dinner looked fantastic Bill and Lisa! Unfortunately the last dinner we had at RC was absolutely horrible. The scallops were very cold, Ribeye subpar, side of Brussels sprouts looked as if they picked them up in the produce section and cut them in half. No cooking, no sauce no nothing. Best part of the meal was SMALL Oyster Rockefeller. I can’t say we will be back. This is our second location and to us, RC definitely went downhill. Thanks Bill and Lisa so glad you had an amazing meal!

Excellent video as usual. As I'm going to be in Vegas next month and had tried to get a reservation at Ruth's over my 5 day stay, but none were available which was unfortunate. I decided to go to Delmonico's in the Venetian instead. I heard it was good. Have you folks eaten there? I'm trying to eat at steakhouses in Vegas that I hadn't been too before. I love RC and it's one of my top favorite steakhouses. I have been to several prime ones, chain and private. I highly recommend their NY Strips; boneless and bone-in, Chocolate Sin Cake and Bread Pudding for desserts. So good!

Thanks you two! Love you guys, I love Ruth’s Chris too, I use to work there long ago. There is only one in NorCal left, all the others closed, but socal has many Ruth’s Chris. I recommend their augratin and sweet potato sides, both are amazing and the berries and cream dessert is the best, if they still offer it. Best steak ever 🥩 💚🔥

Great video Bill & Lisa! So nice that they matched the offer. It looked fabulous. It’s been awhile since I’ve been. Maybe it’s time to go back. While I’m at it I have a recommendation for you here in L.A. Have you ever been to Killer Shrimp in Marina del Rey? It’s one of my favorite places. I’d highly suggest the dish the restaurant is named after just splurge and get the shelled shrimp, slightly less messy. It’s a big bowl of shrimp in a spicy Cajun broth, family recipe, served with a basket of chunked French bread. You can also opt for rice or pasta in the broth but I’m a fan of just the bread. Too many carbs for they other as you still get the bread. Back story Lee Michaels (Do You Know What I Mean) is the founder of the restaurant and had the hit song. It’s his family recipe and his son runs the restaurant. I’ve been going to KS since it was on Washington Blvd. it’s now on Admiralty inside the Marina. The menu has many delicious delights, amazing burgers, but gotta get the named dish. I believe they now own Gladstones, too. I hope you go and enjoy!

Monday night my wife and I went to the Waikiki Ruth Chris location. We got the 200 dollar 40 oz tomahawk ribeye for 2, 2 salads, mashed potatoes + creamed spinach and ice cream for dessert. It was surprisingly excellent.

Last time I went to RC was in Marina Del Rey. Summer Holiday Weekend. I can't say I was impressed. We spent a heck of a lot more. But felt underwhelmed. Maybe if I'm in LBC, I'll give it another shot.

Hat tip to the manager for honoring the $49 deal. That is very classy. I'd say order the steaks one step down in temp (e.g. order medium rare if you want to end up at medium since the meat continues to cook on the hot plate) I like the prix fixe deal but would probably supplement it with one additional side.

Good vid guys. I have found that Ruth's Chris has diminished over the years. The only one still great is in midtown Manhattan. I usually prefer Capital Grill or Morton's. Btw: Their broilers are upwards to 1800 degrees! Lately, I prefer steak houses that Char grill rather than broiler bake. You guy's have to stop my mouth from watering! Regards 👍👍👍

Call my local???? My local, which was down the street from my home, packed up it's steaks and left town during COVID. Never to reopen. And yes, Bill, that juice on your plate was butter. Glad your steaks were not salty. They often put a lot of salt on steaks so I used to ask for no salt.

Bill & Lisa , was the steak choice or prime ? if so good deal , but not if it was select grade. Peter Luger's steak house does this sizzing to the table also, but I like my steak medium rare & tented to rest for 10-12 minutes so the steak juice redisributes inside the meat, creamed spinach one of my wife & I's fave , looks delicious. They have a Ruth's Chris in Cincinnati but never visited. When the steak is sizzling it is still cooking & cutting into it will cause all the juices to flow out.

@Bill & Lisa's Food and Travel if it was prime that was a great deal, Peter Luger's doesn't seem to have folks say it was OK, they either really like the steaks or not at all. They have many awards , but they also have some really bad write ups from food critics, ( over priced, everything ala carte , etc...) their menu is very limited , & condensed, not many options so I thought I'd let you know to make a decision to eat there. There is a top of the line steak house named " Megu" Japanese steak house but not the tableside grilling on a hibachi, tepenaki, with 8-10 folks sitting around the grill , but the chefs are talented, but Megu serves true Kobe beef from Japan, pricy , but I highly recommend, considered the best in New York
