I've never had the pleasure at Morton's. I've eaten at Ruth's Chris three times New Orleans, Minneapolis, and Dallas). All three times were OUTSTANDING. The only three steaks I've ever eaten without a steak sauce or topping of any kind. I ate all three just in their own juices and were the three best steaks of my life!! I'm not a dessert person, and sides are strictly secondary. But with apologies to Morton's for never trying them, I would have a very difficult time imagining a better tasting steak than a Ruth's Chris' steak.

These two are a couple of my favorite steakhouses on the planet. Both make phenomenal NY Strips, spinach n mushroom sides and bread pudding and chocolate desserts.

I've been to both. Ruth's Chris has a better atmosphere and their steaks are mouth watering. Both restaurants need a more formal dress code.

I agree people don’t know how to dress in a casual restaurant and these restaurants should enforce dress code especially if they expect us to spend that type of money in the restaurant

Since I had bariatric surgery in 2013, have not gone back to either Morton’s or Ruth Chris. The weakness in both of these restaurants was their Italian selection of red wine. In both cases, I brought my own Amarone and paid the corking fee. Also, and parenthetically, shrimp scampi is redundant. Scampi means shrimp in Italian. So when you say shrimp scampi the translation would be shrimp shrimp.

I’ve never 👎 heard of these two steakhouses 🥩, but my favorite 😍 was Longhorn Steakhouse 🥩 in Mesa, Arizona. Yes 👏, ya could finish your dinner 🍽️ off with a chocolate 🍫 cake 🍰, with chocolate 🍫 shavings on 🔝, regardless of what meal 🥘 ya order. My favorite 😍 was their steak 🥩. Your friend, Jeff.

@Kathi Jordan To me, I thought 💭 this was a 🔝 of the line steakhouse 🥩. At least, it tasted better than Mc Donald’s food 🍱. You’ve also got your choice of doneness ☑️ on the meat 🍖. Usually, it’s about $35.00 a pop, here, depending on what ya order. I’ve gotta get to a Ruth’s Chris steakhouse 🥩, but I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ if there’s any for Phoenix, Arizona. I went to Ruth's Chris some years ago on Camelback...it was mediocre esp with all the hype about their 500 degree infrared broiler. The steak was not charred, almost like steamed. For me Capitol Grille was the best of these three.....less expensive than Morton's too.

I went to mortons this evening. It was ok. I definitely wont be back; there are places about half the price with food that is as well prepared. Ambiance was nice but it was a little too dark. Couldnt read the menu or wine list. No one in oir group could.

Not sure about all locations, but the Morton’s in my town (Louisville, KY) is open for lunch for a few weeks during the holidays. Normally it’s only open for dinner. The lunch option is normally a salad or soup, a steak or pork chop, a side, and a dessert for $35, which is a really good deal. The same meal would be well over $100 just a few hours later on their dinner menu. Other great steakhouses in our city do this during the holidays as well, so it’s always a good time to try them out for a super reasonable price.

I ate once at Morton's steak house in Crystal City Va. in the fall of 2018. I had a rib eye steak sandwich. It was the WORST steak I have ever tried to eat in my life! It was RANCID! I will NEVER go back to any Morton's Steak house.

There are no differences made in the item that matters: steak. Also, too much emphasis is given to the number of options in each category. That does NOT equate to quality. This sounds like an infomercial for Morton's. Everything is either more at Morton's (but not better), the same, or Ruth's Chris is superior in areas that don't matter (like number of locations). Morton's can be disappointing. Ruth's Chris never is. Not ever.
