Hi Trixiebell, Rutland is only a small county but certainly a beautiful place with Rutland Water as it's centre. When we were there it was very peaceful but always something going on with the wildlife. We sat outside in the sunshine and had lunch in one of the pubs gardens, fabulous. I did the same walk a few years back. Had a bit of drizzle though. Still lovely though.

Hi Alan, nice to hear from you. We had a great time at Rutland and was surprised how big the lake was. We did two walks around parts of the lake and were lucky to see the Osprey's which had just started to lay eggs. We found the place very peaceful and hope to go back to do another walk.
