Rutus Versa - Rutus Headphone pairing (updated video with trouble shooting tips)

The Versa is the brand new machine from Rutus, with so many new features and the same amazing Rutus build quality!
This is the third video going through connecting the dedicated Rutus headphones.
*Note: This is an updated version that picks up a couple of troubleshooting tips.

Pairing will be achieved when you hear a short single-tone beep in the headphones and you'll see the double arrow symbol on the Versa screen (shown at about 45 seconds into the video) - there will be no lights on the headphones. The headphones will unpair and switch off when you power down the Versa, you'll hear a single-tone beep again as this happens. ALSO 1 - as pointed about by another Versa user, be careful in the normal Settings menu, the Icon for Headphones controls the headphone channel, make sure it is set to 1. If it is a big dash -then it means the headphone's wireless is off, and you won't be able to hear them, so when pairing make sure this is in 1! (Shown in the video from 1:15 ish) ALSO 2 - If you have lights (usually red/blue) on the side of your headphones, this means the headphones are switched on in Bluetooth mode... you cannot pair them when they are like this, you need to switch them off (long press the power button). Once they are off, i.e., no lights visible on the headphones, follow the steps in this video... if the lights come back on, then you've pressed the button too long, switch them off and start again. (Shown in the video from 2:00 ish) ALSO 3 the Rutus headphones are the same base model as Minelab used with the Equinox's BUT they do not connect in the same way, so use this video rather than trying what used to connect these type of headphones to the Nox (the Rutus ones connect to Atrex/Versa via radio frequency, not Bluetooth!)

Thanks for this. I had trouble yesterday when my headphones kept losing connection. I now suspect I put them into bluetooth mode, whatever I did I couldn't get them to work again, I'll have another go with them later today!

I think it confused me that when in pairing mode ...no lights... You'd think they'd have Bluetooth 🔵 lights ... Direct pairing 🔴 lights

It doesn't connect via Bluetooth which is a bit confusing, it's a direct connection the detectors radio frequency - so quicker than BT...
