Ruud Jolie plays Within Temptation's 'The Heart of Everything'

Here's another playthrough I did with Bram Aarts and Nathan Hagnauer from 'De Videomakerij'.
This time I did one of my favorite Within Temptation songs; The Heart of Everything.
I play guitar in Within Temptation and my own projects For All We Know and the acoustic Iron Maiden band Maiden uniteD. And I'm always interested in playing with all kinds of other bands/projects/artists.

I am never a fan of a guitar player member in a band until I know Within Temptation and Ruud Jolie. The Heart of Everything really has a perfect solo guitar moment that is stuck in my head since the first time I heard it years back. ❤

WOW dear Ruud for me it's really Christmas and today you offer le my gift, each time that I watch Within Temptation in DVD's concerts I try to see how you play this song (and of course all the other songs) and now with this video I can admired this complete song, I'm so happy. With The Heart Of Everything we can listen your incredible talent, one powerfull song... Ruud I really love all your solos and rythmic parts because in the same song your rythmic parts are never not the same, during all the song the riffs change and it's really a wealth for the ears. Sometime friends of mine ask me why I like Within Temptation and each time I try to explain that the songs, guitars parts are really complex, wealth and so beautiful and it's for this reason that I love WT since all these years. With this new video Ruud you give us the proove that you are a great rythmic guitar and lead guitar and it's also for this reason that I love your style Ruud. Do you use the recordings you do at home on the album or just for demo purposes?

The guitars for the latest For All We Know album were done entirely at home with the Axe-FX II. And everything for The Unforgiving and Hydra albums were recorded at home but re-amped in Sweden.

Yep, he has been engineering the guitars for all albums since 'The Silent Force' and since it was already clear during the recordings he would join he recorded some stuff on 'The Unforgiving'
