Opening older packs is always better. Brings back the innocence of the game and why I love it so much. I haven’t been around since the early packs but seeing older cards and sets reminds me of playing with my favorite xyz spam deck at the school lunch tables before I was aware of the exhausting meta game. Opening packs was also so special then especially if you pull big like when I got one pack of invasion vengeance to get starving venom fusion dragon which my friend and I were racing to get. I couldn’t believe I pulled it! This is what keeps me excited and enjoying this nice hobby. The wholesomeness of friends getting together playing a game that is different every time, the excitement of opening new packs and looking at old cards. All I gotta say is although these past few months have sucked a lot for everybody in the world, I'm really glad your channel was randomly recommended to me on KZbin back in March. I've mentioned this in comments before, but I hadn't even thought about Yu-Gi-Oh in about 12 years before this year and because of you I've slowly gotten back into it and have even bought a Silent Swordsman (one of my favorite cards) from you! A month ago i had an exam in Electronics and since i always like to relax for a few hours before the exam, i took my phone and opened up your video from day before that i didn't watch ("WAS A GHOST PULLED IN THIS YUGIOH CARDS OPENING? " video). In that video you pulled Madolche Chickolates and i love it when you do because of that funky tune and singing, it always cheers me up. Fast forward to few hours later, i was doing a really hard practical question and for the second i got lost in all the calculations and from nowhere in my head i heard a voice singing "Chikolates chiko-chiko lates" and i started waving my head to it forgetting i was on the exam. After two minutes i got my focus back and finished the question. I passed the exam and i always smile when i remember that situation, I guess Madolche Chickolates brought me some good luck there!

When I was a kid my grandfather smoked a pack a day, been doing so his whole life. I was about 15 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchild top a ycs regional, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake, being OTS packs and prize cards. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me, he never got to see my artifact deck in action. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 25, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because people who complain about not winning giveaways give me cancer anyway.

Just when I was about to retire, just when I sold all my handtraps and all my decks, the algorithm suggested this channel, now I'm considering to make a GOAT deck adding the fact that I'm now getting obssesed with checking the corners and the centering in the cards, never thought that was important and now I have a new mindset and a complete refreshed yugioh spirit that I'm thankful of. Ok here's my quick comment; I use to collect yugioh cards when I was a kid, between 2002 - 2007 . I put (what I thought was) my good cards in a binder and literally left the other 1000+ cards laying around. 3 weeks ago, after some searching I discovered the binder in the basement of my moms house, along with the remainder of my OG cards stored in a dusty plastic shopping bag. Now after rediscovering my childhood interest and watching your channel, I've been educated on the value of my collection and what to look for in the cards I've realized I forgot to collect all those years ago. So thanks for the great content and keep it coming btw congrats on the morphing jar that happens to be one of the ones on my new collection list

Oh my god that is literally my dream tin. I loved GX so much when I was younger and still love it today. I even built a pure elemental hero deck and a Kuriboh deck because I thought Jaden was so cool. I only wish I was into Yugioh back when GX stuff was being sold more. I could’ve bought so much and I even saw an awesome thing called the Duelist pack Jaden Yuki and Aster Phoenix online. Also it’s disgusting hearing that people are complaining about giveaways. When i watch your vídeos openning a lot of packs to cool memories come to me, i never pull really great cards(of curse there are 2 or 3 that times i did it hehe), someday i said kind of loud to a friend "you always will pull some i want and you will exchange ot sell to me" and yes, it happened....nowadays that still happen and that friendship still being(about 10 years). I remember when I was a kid I went to a local yugioh tournament. I didn't know much about the meta and I had mostly cards from earlier sets. I played a lot of joey the passion and there was a kinetic soldier combo deck, where the main goal was to convert, using DNA surgery, all monsters to warriors and use kinetic soldiers effect. And I had a deck with the same kind of strategy, but when we started, other players had synchros and other awesome decks I had no chance against. And even when I successfully played the combo, I didn't know the difference between the type and the attribute and instead of dna surgery I played dna transparent, and they were like no, that doesn't work like that. Cypher soldier you pulled reminded me of that fond memory of mine.

But what's even cooler than that is how, almost without fail, he will be talking about a specific card and then pull it. I always love watching your pack videos! When it comes to pack videos i recently started getting back into watching them for the first time since 2010. Always interested in seeing the rare pulls because i have no luck myself ever lol. Never seen any of the ots or tournament packs before if im being honest i only ever opened 5ds stuff. To me the best part about seeing you pull the rares is also showing how much they go for on tcg. Totally love the background music you use when opening it reminds me of an snes game. So just getting to see videos of people opening these things like they were going out of style is prize enough for me. I haven’t played or collected Yu-Gi-Oh for about 4 years now. I used to play competitive, went to regionals and YCS etc. Always had a soft spot for Ulti-rares and old school classic cards. Anyways, I’m in 3rd year at University and my friends start talking about how they used to love the anime and had some old cards. They asked me if I used to play, and I said yes but downplayed how much (didn’t want to discourage them or anything). So we all agree to bring in some old cards. They all have old battered bundles full of commons, nothing to major. Elastic band round their decks, no sleeves etc. I’m looking through one deck, and too my surprise - RP02 Harpies Pet Dragon (NM)! I’m shocked. It had no damage (thank goodness). And I’m like to my friend, “ do you know how much this is worth”. And he shocked when I told him. Cut to 3 months later, it’s my birthday. He said his favourite character was Joey from the anime and gave me his HPD just like Joey let Yugi keep his Red Eyes. Too this day, that card is at the front of my old school binder. Best birthday gift ever!

To be honest, I never really cared that much about the giveaways, if you a real player, you go to Tcgplayer, open packs, support people selling them. I came to Ruxin cus he was the only guy I saw draw a Dark Sage from DB1. He was only at like 3K subs at the time, but I knew the heart of the cards would guide him to having the great channel he has now. Proud of ya, Ruxin you've come a long way.

I made a little story using the names of the boosters and some of the better pulls in this video (try to find them all XD), hope you like it! So let's get started ... This is the story of Ruxin34, the one who owns the legendary blue eyes white dragon, and to prove his strength he went to an important tournament. The tournament was invaded by participants but Ruxin managed to make his way to the final in the midst of that chaos, thus finding himself faced with the beautiful Shizuku who is known to be a magical ace of fights. Already a few minutes after the start of the fight for our Ruxin there seemed to be nothing more to do and as if that were not enough the challenger Shizuku tried to crush him by morphing into a giant fiend. At that point she fired her destructive beam which however Ruxin manages to block thanks to the big shield that he kept firmly tied behind him, the shield also had the power to return the blow to the sender even stronger than before and combined with the destructive breath of his white dragon, for Shizuku there seemed to be nothing left to do, however Ruxin purposely missed it, proving himself bountiful even towards an opponent. After that great gesture of respect Shizuku understood and surrendered and our Ruxin thus became the champion of the fifth edition of this prestigious tournament! And this is the end of our story! Who knows what other adventures await our Ruxin34! I suggest to subscribe to not miss even one! XD

I got into Yu-Gi-Oh! about a month ago, it started with my friend showing me the anime. Then maybe a year later he showed me Duel Links, and i downloaded it and we played. Then one day I was at a board game and puzzle shop. And there I saw Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I new my friend had some so I bought them, and we played. And so far Iv'e spent around $60 or something on Yu-Gi-Oh cards and my friend like $80. Now we both love it and play it very often.

Since everyone is sharing their stories I will tell you about how I got back into Yugioh: My first time playing was when I was first grade at my grandmas and grandpas town when my cousin told me how to play and everyone else was playing. I was very little and I dindt know English so I had to remember what each card did (Fun Fact - I was litlle but I was also one of the greatest duelists in town). We played for that summer but then everyone just stopped playing (also we were playing with fake cards cuz we didnt understand much). 2 Years ago I was looking at some old stuff and I found my old deck. I was looking at the cards and the nostalgia hit me hard so I told my best friends and we started playing again. My cousin saw us and he also got back into the game. Then we learned more and we ordered some original cards (I paid 20$ for bulk) then learned about meta and all stuff. Then I understood the game was expensive so I starded spending my money very wisely and I am playing Mystic Mine cuz its not link spam and all that stuff and the deck is cheap. Now I am very happy we again got into the game and I am sooooooo happy that like half an year ago I found Ruxins Channel (I watched some of your videos before but I never commented or subscribed) and now I get to watch amazing everyday content!

The packs in this opening were SO HEAVY that: -his super Magcian of Faith looked over her shoulder to watch. -when the packs were weighed the screen on the scale read "WHAT IS THIS?!?". -the Red-Eyes from the light pack in the 1st Ed LOB box opening vid felt bad about itself. -they changed the defenition of the word *heavy* to 'Ruxin's packs in the 16k special'. -Ruxin was able to skip his daily workout. 💪💪💪

Gonna give ya a NEAT FACT for my comment about the video (It's a longshot, but I used to own that tin before I lost my entire collection in a move a decade ago), but Black Dragon's Chick was renamed because it's a mistranslation! In the OCG Red Eye's B Chick wasn't apart of the Red Eye's archtype, so they changed the name instead of having to write "except Red Eyes B Chick". Another card like this was Frog the Jam, it's original name does not have Frog in it, and because of that the Frog archtype has "Except Frog the Jam" on every card that targets a "Frog" monster, outside of the OCG anyway.
