Scabies, disgusting. If you have seen a dog with sarcoptic mange, scabies are the same thing. The bacterial infection caused by scratching could cause blood poisoning which would cause organ failure. Otherwise I can't see why the Emperor would be comatose but he would be nearly dead by then. It makes a nice story line for Gao's revenge but the larve can live only 2-3 days outside the body. the face coverings were rather amusing as one doesn't get Scabies by breathing them. The bedding should probably have been changed daily, taken and boiled. Ditto for clothing and anything he touched or that touched him. I don't know how the hands might have been covered or what may have passed for disinfectant. The thing that tickles me most is how whomever is administering medicine to someone blows on it delivering spit, germs and whatever else that well meaning individual might be carrying. 🤢🤧🤒🥴
