Welcome to our latest video on RV upgrades! Today, we will go over efficient RV AC systems with the new Eco-Cool Air Conditioner by Greer. If you're looking for the best RV air conditioner to keep your RV cool, this video is for you.
In this video, we will unbox the Eco-Cool RV AC and showcase all the components and features that make it a top choice for temperature control in your RV. Next, we will guide you through the installation process, so you can see the step-by-step process. Note: This install involves adding a ductless AC plenum into a ducted system. Because of this, I have not installed the plenum ducting.
Once the installation is complete, we show off the finished product, highlighting the sleek design and superior performance of this best RV AC. Finally, we share our review, discussing how the Eco-Cool Air Conditioner by Greer stands out in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
Whether you're new to RV air conditioning or looking to upgrade your current system, this video will help you make an informed decision. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and check out other videos for more tips on RV living and travel!

Nice! but why you don't use the air intake duct? that could help a lot with efficiency.

Are you talking about the foam ducting? I have a ducted system and wanted to see if I still got decent airflow in the ducts. This unit is a ductless one, and I may add different ducting in the future, but it works very well the way it is. Great question! Do you have a ducted or a ductless system?

@@DustyTrailRV sorry I am talking about the air return, when I saw other installations they all use the black insulated form to separate the air return. I have a duct system and on the fence of deciding ducted or free flow like yours to go with.

Well, it sort of depends on the set up you have. I have a 34-foot TT and I have this main AC unit and then a second one in the bedroom area. Because of this, I don't really mind having reduced airflow through the ducts. But, if you rely on your ductwork, I would get a ducted one. Eco-Cool has a ducted one, it just looks different than this one and you would also have to replace the thermostat. Do you have two ACs? And, how big is your rig?

@@DustyTrailRV my rig is only 25 feet, spinter chasis with 1 AC. however the AC is very close to the bed which I think it's not ideal to have free flow since the vents are pointing to our bed.

Yeah. Smart thinking. I would stick with a ducted system in your rig. Take a look at the plenum on the ducted version. It looks a lot different than the one I installed. And, it would require another step with the thermostat replacement. But, I definitely think you are headed the right direction. This AC blows my previous one (coleman mach 15k) out of the water. Check out the pics at this link so you can see the different look of the ducted one: ecocool.premierproducts.net/products/eco-cool-white-version

That install is SO WRONG. Without the plenum duct installed your loosing all the airflow

Thanks for your concern, Mark. But, I have a ducted system, and my ducts are above the plenum duct. Installing the duct you are talking about would result in no airflow in my ducts. And, even with some of the airflow going out other ducts, I still get plenty from the plenum. Do you have a ductless or ducted system?

@@DustyTrailRV I'm tracking you're logic, but it looks like those added foam blocks put a big restriction on the return airflow, increasing static pressure on the intake side which reduces cooling air and compounds loss due to the turbulence on the output side. As a test, and content idea, get a Anemometer ($25-$40) and run your numbers on all the outputs as currently installed. Then install it as designed and run the airflow numbers again. Might be a wash or it could be a big difference. Since you spent the time and money on it, making sure you get the maximum performance from the upgrade is worth the effort. I did my rig before and after an RV Airflow upgrade and it was such a big improvement I bought them for the other ACs.

@@TC-nn7xkthe foam blocks are in place because my previous AC needed a larger hole. Because my goal was to still use my other ducts, this additional space would have allowed for a reduction in air flow to the ducted area. If I installed this exactly as designed, I wouldn’t be able to use it the way I wanted to. I think it would be cool to test the change in air flow for content. But regardless, this upgrade has significantly improved my life in the RV. Are you an AC tech? I worked with one on this install.
