RV Annual Maintenance | Making Time for RV Spring Cleaning

ℹ️ Springtime is the perfect season to carry out annual RV maintenance tasks before embarking on a camping trip. It is a good idea to allocate a day to complete all the necessary projects to avoid any inconvenience during your adventures and prevent expensive repairs in the future. Our checklist includes all the essential items that should be inspected and maintained.
• Clean roof air conditioner vents and vacuum out bugs
• Clean solar panels and check all connections/cables
• Check self-leveling sealant around vents, skylights, and seals for cracks or peeling
• Use UV protectant on the entire roof
• Condition slide sweeps
• Repack wheel bearings and grease leaf springs (if applicable)
• Cleaning and conditioning inside window seals and door seals
• Check propane lines for leaks
• Stabilizer jack lubrication
• Vacuuming under furniture
• Clean bug residue from ceilings
• Clean light covers
• Clean air conditioner filter
• General deep cleaning inside the RV
• Clean out pass-through and purge

Great video! It’s got me me thinking about the fact that since we have a slide topper we don’t spray that seal. That stuff works great on the black streak! Great tip on using rain x on the windows. Can’t believe I’ve never thought of that!

I need to get my butt moving and do some stuff on ours too. After a winter of camping it needs some love, just gotta find the time. I definitely need to get one of those telescopic ladders.

That ladder is awesome and fits well in the back of our truck. We started putting a weekend on the calendar every year for maintenance so we don’t over schedule and skip it. Happy camping!

Great maintenance tasks! Hmmmm... We've been using Windex on our solar panels. I wonder if that's bad? Also, your wheel bearings are the best! I wonder why we can't have such a sweet system versus having to take the wheel and hub off?

From what we read you should only use vinegar and water. The chemicals can add a film over time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for commenting! Maintenance isn’t fun but it’s so worth it! ❤️
