*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*

This is great! Just bought a new generator and loved how easy to understand this tutorial is!

Thank you for this tutorial. I plan to buy a 4400 watt propane inverter genny. It may be a 30amp while my 5th wheel is a 50amp, using a 'bridge', I'll have to watch my use of appliances closely.

We have used the kzbin.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Simple and easy. I made the mistake of plugging in the rv before letting it build up. It quickly overloaded the generator. Also a soft starter is a great idea for your ac unit. It will reduce the draw power from the generator.

Yes, it was very helpful. Especially about when to hook up the power to the gen.

I like to use the gas generator throughout the day for my RV and at the same time, charge my electric generator for at night so the AC can run.

Is grounding the generator needed? Most generators have a ground nut location for attaching a ground. I know bonding a plug for a surge protector is a thing, but if you hook up as you showed is grounding needed.

Are there surge protection on certain generator? I don’t want to be plugging in my generator if it’s raining. And can you suggest one that is dual fuel with about 5500 watts running power?

What size generator is sufficient to keep the rv battery charged up? And is the generator connected through that special cord or directly to the battery via a battery charger?

What kind of adapter would I need if my portable generator doesn't have a RV 30 amp socket?
@enricoderojassarson55962 жыл бұрын
Not all generators have a RV receptacle, so you may need an adapter to go from 30A gen receptacle to 30a RV

@Tsch637318 күн бұрын
During a power outage and my unit being on the side away from the neighboring RV, they won't hear it. I have a loud furnace exhaust but I don't hear it from the side opposite where it comes from. Inverter gennys are quieter than the other type and their power is more 'pure', ie kinder to your electronics.

You absolutely do not have to leave that unplugged before starting 🤣🤣🤣

Please be advised, if the generator has floating neutral, and you connect it to an RV, you should connect a neutral to ground bond. RV’s do not have this connection within their electrical system. Respectfully Submitted for safety reasons, Kevin

"Floating neutral"? "Ground bond"? Would you please explain what these terms mean and how we can know if they apply?
@KevinCoop13 жыл бұрын
@@flywrite Try this. First is a video explaining it. I do not know your application but, if for tools or straight connected to a cord, no problem. If for your home, already connected in the house, no problem. If you are connecting to an RV, then you should buy a plug like the one linked from Amazon. To be clear, (floating neutral), (floating ground), (neutral to ground) bond. Bond means connected together. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJzNm42AnMZ8hKM. www.amazon.com/Southwire-Company-LLC-44400-Generator/dp/B07F4R7BDL/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Neutral+ground+plug&qid=1616162087&sr=8-2

That's a lie not 48 to 60 dB but 62 to 72 dB at 23 feet and worse at 21. Not saying it's bad because most generators are about the same, cheap generators do just as well like predator
