What tricks do you use to combat black tank smell?

Hi friends. We run the black tank flush religiously when we dump. I can't imagine what it's like in rigs that don't have or don't use their black tank flush. We have been so pleased with that feature!

I have a flush connection on the side of my TT. After dumping the tank, I flush for 15 minutes then turn off the water feeding the flush and then close the black tank valve. I use one scoop of HC along with 3 gallons of water. Absolutely no odor of any kind. I only use a gloved hand and toilet paper to clean the bowl. No soap or any kind of chemical is used, to do so will interfere with the black tank treatment's efforts at breaking down solid waste in the tank. Follow the directions on the HC container as to how much to use. One scoop treats my 40 gallon tank just fine. The scoop is included in each package of HC. HC is the only treatment that I've used, and there no reason to change. No odors of any kind regardless how hot it is. It doesn't cover odor with 'perfumes', it eliminates odor. Since it's just me, I only need to dump my tank once per month and in all that time and in the heat of summer, there's still no odor!

Oh my goodness Thank You!! I had been using the pods for a long time and it worked well but past few weeks have been over 100 degrees and it felt like my tank wouldn’t go for 5 days without starting to smell. Watched your video, ordered it on prime, added a treatment and the smell is Gone! Thank you so much for sharing.

What the hell. Im dumping my black tank every day here in west memphis at Tom Sawyers. Why go longer if you don’t have to?

Dumping is a lot of work because we like to clean/flush it out too when we dump, so we let it build because it doesn't smell and we don't have that chore everyday. Plus with just the little bit in it it can be hard to get it to dump well. It's just the two of us.

Hi, LOVE you channel name! And Happy Campers takes the place of the pods. You can always double up if you want to, but we completely replaced the pods with Happy Campers. Works sooo much better for us!
