Hi RC, Thank you for the update. Looks like you're making steady progress. Shore power is a good move, you guys don't need to be worrying about cloudy days. Keep safe Brother, Mark
@TheRamblinCamperVan
@TheRamblinCamperVan 8 жыл бұрын
Yeah the cloudy several days in a row basically stop the charge and make me really have to conserve power and makes you wonder when we will even get a charge. Especially on a class b where there isnt much room for more solar panels to really take advantage of the sun when its out. So the power post made sense. I will be adding another panel though so watch for that vid. Thanks for watching Mark!

stainless steel water buckets work great when traveling with pets. You can get different sizes. they have handles,so u just need to buy clips at a hardware store and y can hang them anywhere. Google it if u don't know what I'm talking about. I travel with several German shepherds using water buckets that hang in their crates

I have heard that our type of pleasure way with the dodge chassis has a tendency to wonder all over the road and the stearing is rather loose . I was thinking about adding the steer safe which is made in Demming . I am planning a trip out there and wondered if I had one of those installed we could do a meet up .

Lol... old microwave "had poltergeists". Do let us know the brand etc of new water tank when you get it, please. And more info on the TV mount... brand and where you got it. Good video. Thanks.

+Day Drifter The water tank is from Class A Customs its a 30 gal and comes with fittings in tank and is a polypropylene tank so perfect for drinking water and way cheaper than most places. And the tv wall mount is from amazon. Sorry my phone is not allowing me to put a link. The name of the mount so you can search for it is..... VideoSecu Articulating Arm TV LCD Monitor Wall Mount, Full Motion Tilt Swivel and Rotate for Most 15" 17" 19" 20" 22" 23" 24" 26" 27" LED TV Flat Panel Screen with VESA 100, 75 ML12B CB5

I've seen a lot of guys take out the old TV cabinet. It's looks fine left in place with the flat screen mounted the way you did it. I'm sure you found a new use for that storage. I'm an animal lover but that's waaay too small of a space for TWO dogs. The rest I just don't get. Why have a class B RV parked in one spot?

Hi. How do you keep your huskey cool? Their fur is super thermally efficent, as they normally live in very cold climates. Have you considered the weight of adding another 30 gal tank, and wether the van as it is already loaded can safely accomidate the extra load? Thanks for the video.

We are either running AC when stationary or fans and open windows in shade. She does really well.. infact she usually only pants when we go outside and shes in the sun. We will never be driving while both tanks are full. Only one at a time. While stationary I can use both if wanted though. Thanks for watching!

I went with a 19in. I kinda wish I got a smaller one.. 19 is big when you are 3 feet from it haha. And smaller would fit better against wall when pushed out of the way for travel. Thanks for watching!

wow 2 dogs in a class b...how does that work when you travel? I understand the cat like nomadic fanatic has, but dogs need a lot more attention.

@TheRamblinCamperVan 8 жыл бұрын
+mkline718 My dogs are more than spoiled. We take them out 5 times a day and they get attention all day long. Its really no dif in the van as when I was in my house. These little guys are always up for some play time too. Its really very easy cause Ive been taking care of them for so long that its just everyday life now. As far as room in the class b.... its already tight so a few dogs dont really change that for me. Its easy to adapt. Thanks for watching!

Sorry I haven't kept up but is that your own property you bought? If so, how much and what was the cost of having power, water and sewer hooked up, if it wasn't before? It seems almost ideal. I'd figure taxes would be almost negligible as you have no permanent standing structure aside from your small power plant.

Man I bet the cost to add that 200 amp service was expensive. So are you planing on just using the RV as a mobile home and not traveling around? Not sure why you just didn't upgrade the 30 gallon tank to a four season. They don't freeze. Good Luck with running an AC unit with batteries. As even a 700 watt unit takes 60-ah to run. So unless you have an 800 watt solar array or 1000 watt generator. Your batteries will die a fast death in no time. You can figure 7000 watts for an 11 hr run time everyday that is equal to 560-ah. So money spent insulating an RV is money you will get back.

We are planning to travel most of the time.. but I am just getting some things set up at the property to make it a bit easier in freezing/hot temps first. Adding a second tank gives us double capacity and allows one tank to be used in winter... 2 for 1. I dont run my AC on my battery bank it doesnt make sense to pull that much power from a battery bank as small as mine and without at least 10x 100w solar panels minimum. I have a video coming out about this in a few days to show the amperage draw and all that... while it can be ran for a short period it still just doesnt make sense to try and run it on batteries. Thanks for watching!

I'm confused, I thought you downsized to travel. Why would you squeeze into a van just to stay in one place? I would be somewhere warm in the winter and not worry about anything freezing.

just because there is a good set up on a piece of land, doesn't mean you don't travel. he's said in in previous videos that he just purchased a piece of land.... sometimes you need to take a break from traveling to replenish funds. plus some people like the cold. Everyone is different.

+American SuperTramp The power makes it way more convenient when we are there. And it does help with value of property. If we are there anytime in winter or summer its nice to have for heat in the freeze and AC in the hot. Especially when the sun is gone for days at a time and no solar charge. Mainly for my dogs.... I can manage myself but my dogs are more comfortable. I dont think about the return, I think about what I may or may not want/need and make a desicion. We are all individuals and do things our own way, many times different from one another.Thanks
