RV Camping at Skihist Provincial Park, Lytton, BC in our Roadtrek Zion Campervan!

We spend a great May long weekend camping at Skihist Provincial Park in the Lytton, BC, with awe-inspiring canyon scenery of the Fraser and Thompson rivers. We luck out on a scenic and private campsite, make good use of our Flatpack Grill, hammock and awning in summer-like temps, enjoy birdsongs, spot a rainbow and hike the Cariboo Wagon Road and adjoining campground trails.

Beautiful idyllic spot - in a perfect world, this is how life should be lived. It takes me back to my childhood vacations hiking, swimming and boating in the Lake Of The Woods area of northwestern Ontario. Happiest times of my life. My wife and I look forward to your post and narration of your adventures and of course the hiking which we both love to do . Vancouver has many areas to explore and beautiful scenery along the way we are planning a trip to your area in the near future to experience the scenery and hiking first hand. You mentioned in a previously reply about replacing the alternator but there were still issues, what was the final fix?

As for the under hood generator it is working but we don’t believe quite as it should. Likely another trip to the dealer at some point to tweak once again. Similar to our concern before. Really nice area, love the river canyons. I was boondocking at Seton Lake BC Hydro campground near Lillooet last week for 5 nights. Very beautiful scenery as well. Thanks for sharing your hiking adventures. Sending extra lovin' to Precious.

Hi guys, when using your flatpack grill for your baked potatoes, did you use wood or charcoal?

We used a Mesquite Wood Charcoal. Worked better than expected! Would use again.

Thank you and no; not scared but respectful! Always make noise and on rare occasions will take bear spray along. Best is to simply be aware and keep distance if you can. Now snakes... that always concerns me (Gordon...scared of snakes)
