My Mom loved exploring the rocky beaches and had a large collection of sea glass. The rock wall is designed to "break" the rough waves and it gives an ideal calm place to swim and explore.

If you go to Old Orchard Beach Try Some Pier French fries you can get them plain, with vinegar or I get mine with gravy and cheese curds. They are very good.

Maine has a strong mixture of English and Franco American ( French) culture,that much is very true & for a long time you were a lot more likely to come across French than Spanish speaking people.That is changing some now as we are starting to get more immigrants coming into our state.Something that you may not know George because you keep talking about the Franco American connection is that in reality Ogunquit was native land to the Micmac Native American tribe,the area is more ripe with Native American culture than Franco American culture.I’m white just like the other 90% of Maine people but it saddens me that our ancestors took so much away from the Natives including their culture and sadly many just don’t understand how important these people were & are to our country.
